For those who actually like the Flames black uniform, what aspect do you like that you would buy it? I think it looks cheap, ridiculous and tacky. It's crazy to think they probably paid a consulting firm to come up with that. And to top it off, senior management took a look and said, "yup, I'm signing off on it". Yowza, it's ugly. Imagine what the other samples looked like.

After 30 years of being a flames fan and wearing red jerseys I'm kinda sick of them and look forward to wearing a new black jersey (my family couldn't afford to get a horse head jersey the first time around).

I feel like some people are really over reacting to a new 4th jersey. The same way I feel flames fans over react if someone doesn't wear red to a game. It's supposed to be fun and inclusive. Not everyone has to like the same retro red flames jerseys like you do (even though I love the retros)

We knew blasty was coming for weeks. We knew it was getting resurrected.

We knew it was going to be primarily black and based on the '98 design since last week and many were excited for this.

What were you expecting exactly, based on that information? Its no cowboy wordmark. Now THAT was tacky.

Also this isn't even a 3rd jersey, it's a 4th jersey. Its game use will be quite minimal. Why are you getting so bent out of shape? You're getting retros full time.

90s styles were a bit tacky. And this is reverse 90s retro. Many of the other teams designs share that quality.

I'm personally elated to be able to see us back in black again, and the players sound excited too.

Quite simply, you're wrong.

Blasty is pure sex.

In The Athletic's article going over the jersey reveals, when talking about Calgary, this is what was said:

“I can’t believe the enthusiasm for Blasty in Calgary,” Near said. “The Flames must’ve known. They’re educated and they know their fans, but it caught me off guard as far as the energy.”

Calgary was the only team in which the fans' love for a particular jersey was mentioned. No other fanbase was referenced for any of the other teams.

It's funny. There's no inbetween when it comes to Blastly. A portion of Flames fans (who are simply dead wrong. Embarrassingly so) hate Blasty and want to burn it into the ground, while the majority of Flames fans absolutely love Blasty and have been campaigning for it to come back for yeeeeeears.

Well, we finally got our wish.

All hockey jerseys look ridiculous and tacky. All sports jerseys, for that matter, look ridiculous and tacky. There isn't a single one that actually looks 'nice' with the arguable exception of like, an Italy soccer jersey, or some other monochrome t-shirt.

I'm gonna buy this one 'cause I like ridiculous, tacky stuff. It's gonna be great.
