Maybe this would go better if the Flames just accept that MacKinnon is good for a hat-trick every game, and then they'll feel free to play for 9-6 wins instead of 3-2 losses.

Gaudreau is unbelievably BAD, passes the puck (sorta) then stands there confused.

Kind of hard to praise Johnny over a montage of turnovers. Makes sense to talk about Makar

James Neal is the worst player in the league. Anyone still defending him is right on par with the GG2.0 defenders last year

His body language looked more disinterested to me. Concerning either way.

You need consistency, and be able to do what you normally do even when the defense becomes tighter, to be a impact player.
It's not even that it's tighter, it's that they have him specifically scouted. His little duck tricks are not going to work at this level, to borrow a phrase. The last shift, where he gained the zone easily and then just threw the puck into some shinpads, is a perfect example. He's fully capable of adjusting and changing up his repertoire, and we'll see if he does it. If he does, he'll find a lot of space, I'll bet.

Hitting doesn't matter when the other team wins every puck battle.

You finished at the top of the conference, and your goaltender is playing out of his mind.

Have some confidence, and play like you do. It's all right there for the taking, guys.
