I went and checked out the flyers roster and I will admit that I hadn't thought of konecny. He could be a good pick up for the right price but I wouldn't give dougie for him. I doubt they're interested in giving up couturier.

Patrick for hamilton
Konecny for brodie+
Weal for stone +

Meh I'm not in love with these ideas.

With Kovlachuk signing, we might see movement on the winger market.

What is with reactions like this?

GMs talk all the time. But 90-some percent of the time, it doesn't result in a trade. Absolutely no one should be surprised by that.

Fans want rumours. They scream for rumours. So these guys report discussions.

Then, when a trade doesn't happen (which is the most likely result), some fans shoot the messenger.

####ing bizarre and childish reaction.

McKenzie said that one year at the deadline.

Fans assume that all rumours that don't happen were made up. But if they needed to be "iron clad" to be reported things would be considerably more boring for hockey fans.

Seems like trade prices are thru the roof.

Id love to hear what the prices for skinner, Pacioretty, ror, etc, are at this point.

Truth be told i was certain the flames would have made a move by now, and somehow getting into the 2nd round

I maintain the Flames silence is due to working out extensions with Lindholm & Hanifin

I'd rather Flames get Skinner Or Patch. Either would be a legit guy to bolster scoring.

I dont think getting into the 2nd or even 3rd round is imperative for the Flames, but making a deal of some sort certainly is.

BT simply cannot return the same group from a year ago....it was a team that did not work and regardless of a coaching change cannot be expected to become a contender for that reason alone. Way to many holes up front.

Skinner please. He is age appropriate for our core.

I'm looking forward to the draft being over.

Gotta even up the trading field and it will be nice going forward.

Really hope Hamonic plays great this year and we can move on from any negative thoughts in regards to last year.

He's averaged almost 30 goals for quite a few seasons now. Concussion and injury issues have been behind him.

Beggars can't be choosers. If the price was right you add him in a heartbeat.

Five twenty goal seasons. His injuries used to give me pause, but that seems settled now.

His career average would have had him 3rd in scoring on the Flames last year, and they need one of those kind of guys.

He is a really good player.
