Well in Lucic case, his parents have heard it all already and gone thru some things already (I think their church got vandalized or something after the Bruins won), so you would think it would only get better as they would gain pretty much all the bandwagon fans.

Returning to Vancouver is probably the best thing for Lucic's family.

sure does apply to players from southern Ontario.

yeah right.

fact is, there are as many good reasons as bad ones for players wanting to or not wanting to play in their home towns or not.

People (even NHLer's) are a lot more complex than that. It's pretty naïve to think every player wants to play at home.

For Blackhawk fans, all year, those three guys were absolutely expected to be moved as Toews/Kane's new contracts kick in...Aging Sharp, and expendable Bickell and Versteeg are just too expensive to fit, and there are younger, cheaper, options for each...
