Win-Gina-Ton. Same city, three different locations.

As someone who actually lives in Manitoba, I agree with you.
Only people that come here once a year would claim Winnipeg is anything above a dump.

If you've ever had to work the Winnipeg Jets room, you're OK with this result.

It sounds like the Jets players have a rep for being dicks to the media. Maybe it's a shot at coaches or management but I think it's probably directed at the players.

If we're fortunate enough to make it to the 2nd round, we're should be happy that it's against the Ducks. Winnipeg is a media darling right now, and the coverage would have definitely been in their favour.

Would go along with their selfish play on the ice.
Honestly, considering how well they played down the stretch, going out 4 straight is to me an absolute failure.
Especially when you watched the games and saw how their 'big' players constantly took selfish players. I think the issues with Kane were a bit bigger than JUST with Kane.

That makes no sense. It would be like saying the Flames fans should have never dressed in red from 1986-2003, since home teams used to wear white. The Whiteout and C of Red have no effect of on how the teams play. It's just a fun thing for the fans, and builds a sense of unity.

It could just mean that Jets players have a reputation for not talking to the media. I know Maurice is very tight lipped, and does not elaborate much in his pressers.
Having said that, I wouldn't call going out in 4 games to the #1 seed in the West, a disappointment. Jets and Flames were both picked to finish near the bottom of the Conference, and the Jets put up a great run during the last 10 games to make it into the playoffs, for the first time since the franchise moved to Winnipeg.
Disappointed, yes. Failure, no.

Is it me or is this almost identical to the 08-09 Blues? Emerging young team gets hot and a mediocre veteran goalie has some great games to get them into the playoffs. But once in, goalie goes back to being mediocre and they look like an easy out.
Jets have a lot of talent on the way too. But it still took the Blues 2 more years after getting that taste to establish themselves as a regular playoff team...Much in part to not really getting a defined solution in goal.

A couple months back on the Fan 960 Kerr played a clip of him asking Blake Wheeler a question in the dressing room, and Wheeler snapped at him. Kerr seemed kind of upset about it. It was an innocent question about how they have to play.

And the reason they have the reputation is what? Because they like acting like a bunch of selfish jerks? I mean if someone asks a stupid question, call them on it, but dealing with the media is normal for any professional athlete.
There is no reason to be an ass about it.
And going out 4 straight is an epic failure if you consider they had the lead going into the 3rd period in 3 of the games? They had no problem keeping up. Their problem was the selfish and stupid play by their 'best' players.
Trouba was better with one hand than Buff or Ladd were combined.
