actually you get a game played. just not the grades. that was actually the level-up glitch used early on to obtain cards faster.

I don't know how any NHL game picks shootout order after 5. Last shootout had my shutdown defence going 6th and enforcer going 7th.

not sure how hard it would be to implement the logic such that after your first 3 shooters are done, the game sends out players in order of depth chart based on your lines (ie. send out players from first line that haven't gone yet, second/third/fourth after, then do the same with d lines if game still undecided).

Tie game, dying seconds, I just walked up with Doughty and cranked one from the point, no screen. Top corner, crossbar and in to win the game with 0.8 seconds remaining. Pretty sweet, I don't think that has ever worked in the video game before!

To be taken with a grain of salt because I am a fan of the series, but after a few games on All-Star/Hardcore, I'm perhaps more excited for this game than several years past. The puck physics look great, and as mentioned, I love the way the defender will get an active stick in the passing lanes. Not having the clunky menus are a great bonus as well.

gotta say i find it incredible that even with all this time to make the next gen game they cant program to the D to hold the line on a pp better. want to turn the puck over or go offside? just pass the puck back to your D in the offensive zone. 1 in 2 chance they will let the puck go out of the zone. very frustrating.

I've thought for a while that EA should update defencemen AI in those situation to try and ensure that the puck stays in the zone.

For example, even if you have the puck and skate across the blueline, the defenceman's stick should still be maintaining the puck in the zone, at least until you travel far enough away to negate it.

For me I find the defencemen hold the line great. Even on the pp I have the d with the puck all the time and have yet to have one issue with them turning the puck over, or going offside. I've actually been pleasantly surprised.

I find though that if you have a very "safe" strategy then as soon as the other team has the puck they are at the red line waiting to play d.

I found this too. I specifically tested the D on the PP and was happy to see them hold the line repeatedly. Did one baffling "back up out of the zone as he was receiving the puck" causing an off side though

Yeah, I haven't had more than a few instances of "line loss" on the PP.

I play on hardcore and this game is way more realistically challenging than NHL14 ever was. It doesn't just nerf your stats, it's just straight up harder to score and move the puck. Even for the CP it seems.

Now apparently confirmed, in addition to no EASHL or OTP... Season, Playoff, and Shootout modes are also not present in the PS4 and XBox One versions. So basically, you get VS mode and HUT. What a joke, lol.

I was already planning on returning my preorder to pick up destiny. I also read this info and it just reinforced my stance.

Technically you forgot Be a GM, which is arguably the most played mode in the game. edit: looks like HUT is more played.

I remember people *really* wanting season mode in the last generation and it took a few years. I can't quite recall the draw... was it local multiplayer for a season? That's what I used to use it for when I was in University.
