Yes you can change it. I have my angle back to the games original overhead view. Much more effective in seeing the ice and what's going on around you.

Relieving to see that maxing out your Medical staff in Be A GM does absolutely nothing to curtail the ridiculous frequency or magnitude of injuries. Ugh.
Maxing out your Pro Scout is also useless, as it recommended some of the worst prospects in the draft.
I've also found that the only real way to get the most out of a player's potential is to play every single game, NHL and AHL. Despite getting similar icetimes and stats, simming hardly advanced my top prospects at all.
Also really still enjoying that edit lines bug. Good times.

Is this similar to the bug in BAP? I started in the OHL with the Sarnia sting, Yakupov got injured and is now spending the rest of the season as a healthy scratch, Galchenyuk is now lost on the second line, which should help me go first overall in the draft

Haven't played in a long long time, any significant fixes that I should come back for?

Careful there. You'll likely get drafted by the Oilers at first overall.

While that sounds just as frustrating, I don't think it is like that at all.
It happens when one of your players gets injured and it prompts you to go and edit your lines. So lets say that one of your NHL players gets injured and there is a hole in your lineup. You either select the "Edit Lines" option in the menu, or select it through the prompt that comes up. The screen then takes you to your AHL lines, which you don't need. However, when you press the left or right bumper (L1 or R1 on the PS3) to switch to your NHL rosters it says that lines are incomplete, so you can either 'Cancel' or 'Auto-fill'...neither of which you want to do, but you are forced to do. So you HAVE to choose auto-fill, and any custom edited lines you had are gone...so you spend an extra few minutes readjusting your lines. The same thing happens in the reverse situation where one of your AHL players is injured.
It's annoying and frustrating, and it is so simple that it absolutely blows my mind that EA 1) let it slip through quality assurance, and 2) it was NOT addressed in the patch.
Thankfully Black Friday rolled around and I bought all 5 Assassins Creeds and Sleeping Dogs. Time to take a break from this mess of randomness.

i went out and bought madden 13 a few weeks ago.
It's ok, nice change of pace, but it definitely has it's flaws. Tonight i decided to put in NHL, and man, it is such a clunky game experience. the controls are so unresponsive, instead of creating lose puck physics, they just created the "if a stick check is in a X feet range, just auto force contact".
Took 2 online vs games to remind me that NHL 13 is a pretty bad game.

It has its strengths, but it's far from a real simulator especially for the defense. They clearly put all the work into the offense and as someone who plays defense only it's pretty annoying. Standing along the boards on the point to receive a pass and your stick is hovering inside the boards, trying to stand in front of the net and push people around is nearly impossible, even facing the way you want is damn near impossible.
If you want to stay square to the puck carrier it's nearly impossible, the d-man turns around at random in the defensive zone and when you see an odd man rush coming 5 seconds away and you are skating straight back in the neutral zone to catch the guy on the breakout pass it's literally impossible to make your skater turn around and skate fast to catch him so you'll get blown by even when you are playing perfect because the idiot d-man won't turn around. All of that kind of ruined it for me.

Turning off Auto Back Skate helps this a bit, still have to be pretty conscious of the quicker forwards though.
I really want to like the game, but it's incredibly frustrating to me as a D man.

Well I am personally having a lot of fun with the game. I exclusively play Be a GM. I just passed the trade deadline, and there was I think three trades. I wish there would be more. They definitely need to improve upon the Be a GM mode, but I suspect it'll always be lower on the priority list than other modes.

Until they figure out a way to institute DLC and micro-transactions in Be A GM, you're not going to see any game-changing alterations.

Slightly Off topics but I have seen a number of articles over here moaning about the poor quality of this years FIFA, and how it is a rehash of last year (sounds familiar) plus that EA haven't done a NBA title this year.
Seems EA are starting to get a lot of flack from customers for putting out sub standard work.
If they choose to put out NHL every other year to give them more time to get things right, which they would never do for commercial reasons, do you think things would improve.

I sincerely believe they would not. In my opinion there are two very different levels of critique - annoyance that the game does stupid things (valid) and annoyance that the game doesn't cater to a certain play style (less valid). If you removed the critiques that I would call less valid, I think you'd be left with a much smaller group of disgruntled users.
Further, looking at an internet forum makes it easy to draw the conclusion that people are mad when it could very well be a vocal minority. Sales continue to increase year after year and critic scores remain high. I feel the majority of buyers are overly happy with the product and trying to please (what I believe to be) a small section of the population wouldn't be worth it.

With my PS3 biting the dust two weeks ago now, I guess that means I'm playing lockout mode in NHL '13.
Of course, my PS3 quits while I'm playing NHL '13, and the game is still stuck inside. I am missing NHL '13 right now.

This game still makes no sense to me.
I scored 9 goals on the Red Wings in the first period for a 9-0 lead. My players were extremely fast, didn't feel normal. I was getting breakaways at ease then the rest of the way I only score 2 goals and it was his turn to be extremely fast while I was slow. I ended up winning 11-2, but what a joke this game is when the computer decides who's going to be the faster team at any given time.
This game blows, like the worst NHL game I've ever played. And no I don't suck I'm ranked in the top 400 in the world. This game blows even if you're good at it. The Leafs and Oilers have the love child of Brodeur and Roy in net even though they might have the worst goalie duo in the real NHL. No bias there EA way too cater to your Canadian fans while totally making the worst game ever.
