The BCS games so far have all been great entertainment. As a Michigan fan i didn't think they would get the Sugar bowl but 10-2 vs 11-2 isn't exactly unworthy.
Then again should a 6-6 team even play in a bowl game like the Gator. I can understand Florida being there its basically their bowl. Thats a historically long running bowl game yet OSU gets selected due to placement. By logic they should have playing in some crap like the Vegas bowl not a new years day bowl of any kind.
Before i get roasted i realize the The Maaco Bowl Las Vegas gets the fifth-place Pac-12 team to meet its MWC opponent.
Honestly the entire bowl sections are difficult to rationalize anymore who gets what.
The Gator bowl was sold on the Urban Meyer Saga. Sugar bowl was sold on how well Michigan fans travel along with VTech Fans travel. I too don't like 6-6 teams in bowls but with 69 scholarship players and a very young roster I was happy for them to make a bowl just for the extra practice.

Thank you for everything CP. Good memories and thankful for everything that has been done to help me out. I will no longer take part on these boards. Take care, Go Flames Go.
Michigan and VT never played it each other ever was intriguing going in. I'm just glad it wasn't a 42-10 score going either way. These BCS games have been wire to wire.
Tomorrow night it will be cool to see Clemson who I don't think have ever been in a BCS bowl. Playing WV i think Clemson gets it done.
if you told me a year ago they would even be in a BCS bowl game I would call you a filthy liar.
Hail to the Victors!
Not pretty and i really didn't expect them to win going in, but as that sign said Spartan tears taste like Sugar
Really? If you want to taste Spartan tears go out and beat MSU, until then you look like an idiot crowing at a team that beat you and won your division.

There is a rule against 3 conference teams in bcs games.
I was going to say that but I thought I heard about an exception for a scenario where the NC game features two teams from the same conference.
I get the rationale behind the limit, every conference wants to protect its interests and having one conference overload the BCS bowls obviously harms the others, but it's a little hard to see some of these BCS bowl games as the elite matchups they're billed as when there are non-BCS games with better teams in them.

I love that Michigan won. Very happy about that, but how crappy was the 3rd and 4th down defense. That 4th and 11 and you don't spy the QB who's been taking yards wherever he can all game and scrambles for another first down, 3rd and 20's, no problem, 3rd and 13, easy. Gawd that was awful. Very happy Vtech let us hang around to win this game. Love what the RB was thinking on 1st and goal from the 4 and ran backwards for 21 yards and then took a false start penalty next play. 2nd and goal from the 31 is pretty sweet.
Denards throws off his back foot might be the scariest thing to ever witness in football outside of injuries.

So true. Also Denard has to get it through his head to not take off until the D line and LB are froze in passing situations. He just wants to dance behind a FB and go.
Greg Mattison D was the difference. VT didn't put up a major untill 10 min left in the game. The most discussed topic of on Mich boards is how the Wolverines for 90% of the game locked down in the redzone on D.
Roll back a year under RichFraud and that dope Robinson.
Future looks bright still a young team.

There no tradition left in sports, it's all going to be corporate. Sponsors in uniforms coming soon.

I think LSU and Alabama are the only teams who can defend. All these BCS bowls games have been insanely high scoring.
