At the present time, Louis CK is the best out there imo.
If you haven't seen his HBO special 'Shameless', do yourself a favor.
Some will find his humor offensive, but his humor is offensive in an intelligent way, not in a 'I'm just trying to shock you for cheap laughs' kind of way.

I feel bad because Louis CK seems to be in a bad place right now, but it's made his comedy better. He's extremely bitter right now, and it's hilarious.
I'm surprised only DFF has mentioned Tosh and Louis CK in the same post. To me, if you like one, you'll like the other. Very similar in their sharp sarcasm.

Completely the opposite for Louis CK. Marc Maron had him on 2, hour long podcasts about a month ago. WTF with Marc Maron in the iTunes.

I thought this exact same thing last year when I saw him live. But when I watched Hilarious a couple weeks ago I think he's gotten better. Still bitter (he gets more bitter as he gets older, can't wait to see what he's like in his 70's if he's still doing the odd show), but he also seems more relaxed, I think he's liking the bachelor life more. I just noticed in hilarious he was doing so many funny sounds and physical humour, which I've never really seen before out of him. He seems more carefree.
