58 in Millrise
Some of the walking distances don't make sense though. 2.68km to Fish Creek is crazy as it's much, much closer, 1.23km to the theatre is too much. The only thing that is a decent walk is this called a library which is 2.13km away. I think it is assuming I am walking on sidewalks, but there are some paths that would shave a lot of distance off. Plus it doesn't take into account the train is a short walk away.

One of the things that this site doesn't consider is the walking environment, which is crucial to get people to actually walk place. That being said, it would be rather hard to determine with a simple address look-up.
Surprisingly my current flat in suburban London only got a 52 while my old place in Rundle got a 58. My flat is close to a lot of stuff and it's much easier to navigate by foot than Rundle.

The only time I thought it would be really nice to have access to a car here in London was when I first went to Ikea.

Hopefully this will soon start to change in places like Calgary.

52 in Dalhousie for me, just not super close to a movie theatre, park or hospital. But really, who walks to a hospital?
42 for parents' place in Varsity Estates, they listed the nearest hospital as a vet clinic so this can't be all that accurate haha.

He lives in the USA. Lots of latte sipping yuppies raise their families around downtown in Calgary.

Walk Score of 86 near 15th Ave and 1St SW.
I'd probably wouldn't need a car if my rec hockey wasn't all over town.
Groceries would be a problem if I wanted to make a big purchase.

While it is viable and doable, it has yet to really establish itself as family-friendly. Also, I'm talking more about the immediate area around the core but not the CBD itself.

Haha, I love how the nearest hospital to me is the Calgary Shoe Hospital.

I could have mentioned that once I stop at my office, I have to drive around to a few sites, but that probably wouldn't have made Dis feel better.

98 on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. Pretty much as good as it gets, and I'd say that score reflects reality pretty well. Such a great place to be.

Walk score when I lived in Weiser Idaho was 83. Good luck walking around small town Idaho without people looking at you funny. Nobody walks anywhere, ever.

I got a score of 2. The closest post office would be a 7.5 kilometre swim.

mines a 65 in Dalhousie. I feel like it should be higher considering I wouldn't need a car at all if I didnt need to drive to springbank every few days.
