A friend of mine (a guy), was slipped the date rape drug at a renowned bar in Calgary years ago. This guy could really drink. However after his one or two beer he was so messed up he could barely get home, even with the assistance of his friends. The next day he showed up to work 3 hours late and puked on his forklift.
Now was this his fault somehow? How would you like to be given this drug and raped? Seriously, there is no argument here.
My buddy and I were drugged when we were in Mexico. No rape, but I had about $200 stolen from me and he lost all of is I.D.
I actually live in Pitt Meadows and I guess I could offer some insight to what it's like. First of all Pitt is a fairly small city, probably has a population around 5000. The city beside Pitt Meadows is Maple Ridge and it's significantly larger. Both cities are pretty much synonymous with each other. The difference is that Pitt Meadows is more aesthetically pleasing to look at and doesn't have a real issue with crime. I've talked to the local RCMP and there are times when there are only 2-3 people working at the Pitt Meadows detachment. I havn't lived in Calgary since I was 15 so I dont know how much this next statement would apply to Calgary, but Maple Ridge and to a lesser extent the rest of vancouver has a Yahoo factor, there is definatly alot of crime here. (94 stanley cup riots for example). Anyways Pitt Meadows is actually a nice little city, it's just neighboured by a s#^%hole thats full of criminals. it's unfortunate what happened but I cant say I'm shocked.
I hate the fact the news story put out that this was taped and went viral.
Simply bad news reporting, because if only the police and those in the area knew about it, the spread would be minimal.
Post this stupid viral story and I'm sure every *chan in the world is hunting them down.
Are you surprised though? The news is just about sensationalism and reeforcing political viewpoints (both left and right). It has been for some time now.

It certainly feels easy to want eye for an eye when it comes to stupid adolescents, there is very little repercussion for what they do and don't have to be accountable to anything but their own selfish attitudes. Sad story.
Screw that, time to bring back corporal punishment for sex offenders.

I don't believe everything I read. I also won't claim that humanity is in a flatspin spiraling towards damnation. That's ridiculous. But clearly, something took place, and it's believed that one girl's childhood has been irrevocably destroyed as a result. Until all the evidence is on the table, I won't make an opinion.

I'm sorry but the girl has to take a lot of the blame for this too, and her parents.
I'm guessing this is a sarcasm post relating to the 12 year old girl caught having sex in the field with the 16 year old? Totally different situations, regardless of what you think.

I don't give a sh%t about rehabilitation, they gang raped a 16 year old girl. And I'm not talking about a spanking, I'm talking about bull whipping every inch of their skin off. These guys will only be sorry once they're caught, they distributed a series of pictures, they were proud of what they did. They're human garbage and filth.

No matter what activities she was partaking in and no matter what drugs she was taking, I can't imagine that there is ever a good reason to be gang raped. I don't care if she was drinking underage, smoking weed, LSD, AND "asking for it". There is just no excuse for it.
