If you combined McD's fries with Wendys burgers, it would be the best fast food place bar none.

I find Fat Burger to be totally mediocre.

I had a burger at a Ricky's all day grill, a couple of weeks ago, and I'd give it a 10 thumbs up.

Fat Burger has awesome shakes, but I agree the Burgers leave a lot to be desired.
I'm still partial to Harvey's although I think their quality isn't what it once was.

You know the first time I had one I agree it was no big deal.
About a year later I have been by about three times and really enjoyed it. Had the King Burger.
I guess for me it is that my wife likes them ( she is fussy, is putting it nice) and any time I can get her to go out for just a burger is a win for me.

Haha yeah, I think chicks like the 50s diner kind of atmosphere. I can get my wife to go there as well. Plus Ikea is right beside it, which makes it extra easy.

I agree McDonald's is quite tasty but it just ruins my appetite for any other meal. Nevertheless, I won't eat there because of all the horror stories and a past food poisoning. Except the coffee.

5 guys burger and fries. I absolutely love that place. Anytime I make a trip to the States, it is a must. McD's is so amazing after a night out, though.
In regards to the company and stock performance, I have a hard time grasping how much land they actually own and the value of the land itself. From small, humble beginnings, it's quite amazing.

Last I lived there, a White Spot opened down south, on Macleod between Southland and Anderson. I agree, I get the craving for a Legendary Burger every time I'm in Vancouver... good childhood memories.

The best (beef) burger I've had on this side of the Atlantic is at Sticky Fingers. Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman opened up this restaurant in the 80s.
Still is funny how they call them beef burgers here.

Another good burger is Dairy Lane on 19thst Nw close to Kensington Road.
The beef burger is good but I tried the pork burger (which I would never normally do) and it was amazing. The bun was fresh and the fries were homecut and made from kennebec potato which makes the best fries.

I'm going to pull a troutman here and quote a song. It's a very fitting song for this thread.
Boom Like That by Mark Knopfler:
Quote:
i’m going to san bernardino
ring-a-ding-ding
milkshake mixers
that’s my thing, now
these guys bought
a heap of my stuff
and i gotta see a good thing
sure enough, now
or my name’s not kroc
that’s kroc with a ‘k’
like ‘crocodile’
but not spelled that way, yeah
it’s dog eat dog
rat eat rat
kroc-style
boom, like that
the folks line up
all down the street
and i’m seeing this girl
devour her meat, now
and then i get it, wham
as clear as day
my pulse begins to hammer
and i hear a voice say:
these boys have
got this down
oughtta be a one of these
in every town
these boys have
got the touch
it’s clean as a whistle
and it don’t cost much
wham, bam
you don’t wait long
shake, fries
patty, you’re gone
and how about that
friendly name?
heck, every little thing
oughtta stay the same
or my name’s not kroc
that’s kroc with a ‘k’
like ‘crocodile’
but not spelled that way, now
it’s dog eat dog
rat eat rat
kroc-style
boom, like that
you gentlemen
ought to expand
you’re going to need
a helping hand, now
so, gentlemen
well, what about me?
we’ll make a little
business history, now
or my name’s not kroc
call me ray
like ‘crocodile’
but not spelled that way, now
it’s dog eat dog
rat eat rat
kroc-style
boom, like that
well we build it up
and i buy ‘em out
but, man they made me
grind it out, now
they open up a new place
flipping meat
so i do, too
right across the street
i got the name
i need the town
they sell up in the end
and it all shuts down
sometimes you gotta
be an s.o.b.
you wanna make a dream
reality
competition?
send ‘em south
if they’re gonna drown
put a hose in their mouth
do not pass ‘go’
go straight to hell
i smell that
meat hook smell
or my name’s not kroc
that’s kroc with a ‘k’
like ‘crocodile’
but not spelled that way, now
it’s dog eat dog
rat eat rat
kroc-style
boom, like that

i cant stand the smell of a McDonalds ... and I feel like crap 15 minutes after. so now i eat there only when i have to, like say on a roadtrip and you are in Revelstoke or Golden and you do it for the kids.
Anyhow, best reason I know its a terrible place to eat, never do i see hot chicks there.
Thats all the proof i need!
