That was a brutal penalty. Someone probably told him that Keano's equalizer was offside so this is how he makes up for it.
Wow. I cant believe he called that.

Stonewall penalty according to BBC commentators - unbiased BBC commentators I might add.

Alright, well. Spurs are dead and buried. Two bad mistakes at CB. I'd say the first penalty was very soft, the second was marginal but Spurs made the mistakes and left the call in the hands of the ref.

the 2nd one was acceptable, dumb play by Caulker. The 1st one had absolutely 0 contact to cause Chamakh to fall

the thing I don't get though, and shows the reffing inconsistencies
both were called penalties, and both were fouls by the last man defending, by definition those have to be red cards
That and when the ref doesn't give a penalty because he thinks the player dived but then he doesn't give the diver a yellow just annoy me

Doesn't the GK count as the last man back? I'm not sure of this myself. Maybe it has to do with preventing a clear scoring opportunity by the last man defending.
Saw a former ref on SKY Sports talking about fouls, red and yellow cards. He fully admitted that there is a grey area open to interpretation when it comes to these types of things.

I have always thought the goalie didn't count, but I have seen it called both ways depending on the ref
but you have to think that Chamakh was behind the defenders when he was "fouled" that has to be a clear scoring chance, and should have been a red

ya it was over after the 1st penalty, its only the carling cup and they didn't play anywhere near a full squad but I don't like losing to Arsenal anywhere
always a good game between these two though, looking forward to the one in November with hopefully VdV, Modric, RvP, Fabregas etc. all healthy and playing

wasn't the foul on the first penalty on Nasri, not Chamakh? i didn't really agree with that one but I thought the second one was a call that would be made 99% of the time

Nasri is the short Frenchamn. Chamakh is the giant Morrocan.
I like beating Tottenham under any circumstances. Especially after being threatened while I was in London...some people take their soccer too seriously.

Um, yeah, most of the British nation if not all of Europe.
To them, it isnt just a game.

The first foul was on Nasri; who went down soft but it was still a foul. The second on Chamakh was a penalty 10 times out of 10.
Feels good

Yeah, well, thats to be expected. I almost ended up in a fight with a guy from Chelsea. Because, well, he was from Chelsea, and I was not. I wasnt even wearing another team's colours.

its not just rivalry games either, look at the away fans section in any game from the premier league to league 2, most of the time they are surrounded by stewards on all sides
