I played the PC and Xbox demos.
The PC version is far superior in terms of graphics and controls. I have never liked playing RPG's on consoles due to what I consider unusable controls, and especially for a game like this, a keyboard and mouse make all the difference.
The Xbox is really starting to show its age in terms of graphic capabilities. The difference between the two versions is considerable.
I'll buy this for the PC for sure.

I hate linear RPG's Not a buy for me.
I like exploring and having an open world.
Oh well. Skyrim is only a couple months away (like 9)

Yay no button mashing on PC!
The demo is awesome. I was a big fan of the first DA but they've really made the battle more fun. Graphics are great and the skill tree is awesome. Looking forward to the real deal.

Please do.
Also do they have a Mac compatible version? I played the original on X-Box but was not a fan of the console style game play or graphics.

Their website indicates it will be released for 360, PS3, PC and Mac.

Which systems is Dragon Age 2 being released on? Will they be released at the same time?
Dragon Age 2 is being released simultaneously for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Much like TylerSVT I prefer open games like TES, but will buy this if only to vote with my money in hopes that more rpg's of this quality are made. I haven't finished DA1, but baldur's gate 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I have to support its spiritual successor.

After playing both demos, I'm with Delgar, the X-Box just seemed like a bunch of button mashing. I can't wait to unlock the high end graphics in the retail release as the demo is locked on medium, and still looked pretty good.

My first impressions of the game are really positive. The combat had a nice pace to it. The graphics, while similar to DA1, are certainly improved. It think this game could be a real treat.

I'm kinda partial to the button mashing - removes the main issue I had with the first game where you didn't feel like you were doing anything beyond pressing a button every 10 seconds or so. Xbox version for me. Suppose I'm more "spartan" then "general" Kinda feels like Diablo II in a way - but without having to loot every 10 seconds.
Course, if I were to play a mage, maybe I wouldn't like the mashing - but really, mages are SISSY. Llamacles destroys sissy mages.
Loving the storyline so far - at least the glimpses we've been given.

Anyone else notice that Ferelden women have epic boobs? Even the old ones. Felt kinda dirty checking out the rack on the Champion's mother...

Demo seemed alright, graphics were an upgrade (even on Xbox). Looking forward to it, though like many have said the button mashing is a little annoying.
