Sweet cheeks is vague.
I'm sure it's not just women. Men are put to death also.
Here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/world/mid...t/10466595.stm
Officers killing protestors are being charged and put to death. Are these charges legit or are the just a victim of following orders?
And.. "It has also hanged two activists it said were guilty of "war against god"
That can't be legit!

Truth be told, it's even smaller than that.
My bubble is a 691 sq. ft. apartment on the 16th floor of a building overlooking laser quest. Everything that brings me joy in life is there. Everything else is just a stop-gap until I get back in that bubble again.

So they kill lots of people for many reasons. Even trumped up ones. Makes me worry when they get a few nukes they can throw at Jews.....for......reasons .

I would have called God as a witness for defense. Then when he didn't answer my questions I'd ask for permission to treat him as a hostile witness.

Does Islam support the death penalty?
You can read the whole thing here, again for me its not a matter of what some book says but what people do under that belief system, its action not words that matter and in that case Islam most definitely is for capital punishment.

Interesting. I didn't know any of that. I've always been taught that only god himself can dish out punishment.
Those quotes could be interpreted to not include adultery, but I guess it depends how radical the person is that's reading it. I'm sure A person that is angry will read it and interpret it to be convenient to justify his actions.

Albeit adultery is morally wrong, as I think anyone agree, it is certainly not a crime of moral turpitude punishable by death or imprisonment. If you had it your way, roughly half of the adult population would be either in prison or on death row. Admittedly, I would have been executed by now.
1) You must have missed the part where there is no evidence, except for a confession that was brutally beat out of her.
2) If you think for a second anyone should be executed, let alone imprisoned for committing adultery, proves one of three things. Either:
a) You have never been in a relationship your entire life, and have felt the lure of temptation.
b) Have been left for someone else likely with more tolerant sensible views, and are a jaded about it.
c) You are still a virgin, living in your parents basement, and have nothing of value to add to the conversation, except for a moronic uninformed opinion.
I know personal attacks are not allowed on this board, but I don't care. I have no reservations insulting someone that makes such ignorant statements or defends such a barbaric, torturous act.
MOD EDIT: Do it without the insult, please.

At one point it was considered a crime of moral turpitude.

Or maybe scumbags like yourself would have second thoughts about their selfish actions if there were actual consequences from them.

According to the second hand information provided by a biased party there was no evidence. Whether that is true or not, who knows?

Stereotype much? Maybe it makes you feel better about your own actions to categorize anyone who wishes to see adulterers treated more severely in society.
But I'm glad I don't have the experience in cheating like yourself to have an informed opinion on the matter.

Just another example of your lack of self control. I'm sure this weakness will one day manifest itself in actions that will result in the prison sentence that you should have received anyways for your adultery.

I actually think there should be civil legal consequences for divorce, such as the right to sue or grounds for settlement through divorce.

I never said it was right, and trust me, I paid dearly both emotionally and financially, even though it was a simply common law arrangement.
However, I am debating the form of punishment, not the act. At the time I was 24, and to suggest, a twenty something year old man or woman should be imprisoned or executed for cheating and have their future ruined is completely ludicrous.
Judge me all you want, but that does not change the fact you are an uninformed idiot for condoning this punsihment.

Adultery -- while morally suspect -- is not a crime, nor should it be treated as such.

You're excusing your actions because you were 24? Do you really think your actions are less damaging than a 24 year old who gets arrested for nothing more than possession of pot?
And where did I say that I condoned the punishment? Maybe you should have been spending more time on improving your reading comprehension and less time on looking for a little action on the side!

You're obviously a tramp and a harlot!
Therefore you deserve to be whipped (99 lashes) till we extract a confession from you, then sent to prison for life without parole for 25 years (in Canada we unfortunately don't have the death by stoning penalty.... unlike that utopian state called Iran).

... so you didn't mean that he should be imprisoned for committing adultery?.... even though you just said it in black & white?
Going to prison sounds like punishment to me.
