Roddick is so damn frustrating. I give up hope for him winning another major.

Besides Roger and Rafa, you shouldn't really expect anyone else to win a major. These guys will win a minimum of 3 grandslams between the two every year for the forseeable future.

If only Roddick won we would have had one of the greatest quater-finals in as long as I could remember. 8 of the top 12! This has been a great Wimbledon!

Serena/Venus lose in doubles today. Joke looks to be on his way to a straight sets victory and Roger in trouble right now against Berdych

Federer is in big trouble...missing shots all over the place at critical times...and Berdych is about to serve for the match 5-4 in the 4th set.

Nadal in trouble too, 4-0 down in the first to Soderling.

Federer was brutal today - by his standards. Nice to see Nadal getting hammered. I wonder how long it will take Soderling to mock him for picking his underwear out of his arse?

love soderling, what a goofy guy.
Federer just didn't win the big points, on relatively easy shots for his standards. 5? break points in the 4th? including a 0-40? Those have to be converted, especially on 2nd serves.

I hope he's able to run Nadal out of the All England Club today. And still mock him.

I don't know what's wrong with Federer. Frankly I feel like he doesn't care anymore.
There were a game in the 4th where he seemingly raised his level - shots were crisp, footwork was excellent and tactics were sound. But he only does it one game a set, and sometimes it's just not enough to break (Berdych hit that crazy defensive lob to save a BP). He used to have that level the whole match and with that kind of pressure, he usually a break or two AND it gives him more confidence on his own service games.
However, I'm sure maintaining that level and focus throughout the match is difficult.

Nadal made a recovery and crushed Soderling in 4.

In his press conference, Roger said he was playing hurt. Excuses for his diminishing game?

Also, Roger's ATP ranking drops to #3 while Novak goes to #2. First time since November 2003, that Federer is not one of the tops two seeds.

A bit of both I think. I'm sure he's played hurt multitudes of times before, but combined with his diminishing game, a 70-80% Federer just isn't good enough to beat some of the players in the field like it was in 04-07.

Yup Berdych on fire. That was a classic 2nd set tiebreak.

Womens' final on right now. Zvonareva is doing pretty good; Serena isn't getting much on her serve so far (and also not screaming for once).
