Baseball fan gets Tasered for running onto field during Philadelphia Phillies game

I'd say that in 99% of incendents where a fan runs onto the field, the end result is that they have to be tackled by security staff. And I'd say that this was an exceptional example of a situation where a reasonable person would assume that they would have to tackle this guy.

So if given a choice between physically tackling someone, wich could potentially be risky for the cop, they should be allowed to taser someone. To me it's a tool meant to subdue someone who is uncoperative without putting the cops into harms way.
Seems to me this is a great example of doing just that.
