I went to this yesterday with some friends. I'd never been to one before. We seriously lasted like an hour, maybe two?
Not really worth the ticket cost for myself personally, but I did buy a pretty nice piece of art for a spot I've been looking to fill in my house.
Also, I peered over the people to get a glimpse of Billy Dee Williams and Nimoy and I totally nerded out a bit over that.
Other than that .. meh. An experience I probably won't repeat.

Wow it was packed on Saturday down there! Definitely a good move that they took up the two new halls, more room than last year to get around.
Had a nice chat with The Honky Tonk Man, he was a great guy and it was really cool to meet a guy I remember watching wrestle back when I was just a kid.
Had to wait about 2 hours for my photo with Billy Dee Williams, the big hold up was the insane amount of Nimoy fans that were getting their pictures taken first. I was one of the first in line for Billy and he was really nice. Since it was so late in the day they said our pics would be ready on Sunday, went down first thing and they were nice and organized for photo pickup.
My sister ran into a friend that is an event coordinator with the Stampede, she said that the Expo may need to change its dates if they need more space, as the other show going on (the woman's show) probably wouldn't be moving anytime soon.

Ya, they really need to change something for next year. These lineups are just rediculous.
Oh, and somehow talk Felicia Day into coming!

Someone needs to go today with an Admiral Akbar costume on and tell Billy Dee that it's a trap.

Oh man, a good Ackbar coustume would be epic.
Went both days, had a lot of fun. Saw some people, took lots of pictures, played some board games... Ended the day doing a taking a bunch of shots with four Batman characters who had never met each other before.

Fan: "Could you perform your favorite line from Transformers the Movie?"
Nimoy: "No, I won't. Because I am 79 years old and I don't remember my memory! So what was my best line?"
Fan: "Coronation Starscream? This is bad comedy!"
Nimoy: "Wha? Coronation? .... Starscream? This is bad comedy? Who writes this stuff??!!"
Nimoy: "Speaking of Transformers the Movie, Michael Bay directed Transformers the movie"
Crowd: "eehhhh..."
Nimoy: "Well I was in the original one"
Fan: "Yeah that's what I'm talking about"
Nimoy: "Well Michael Bay won't give me a role in the new Transformers Movies. I think he has some grudge against Star Trek"
...
Nimoy: "And Michael Bay is my cousin!!! I'm married to Susan Bay Nimoy!!!"

What nobody took pictures of chicks in wonderwoman costumes to post here. I'm so disappointing.

Obviously you did not go since the only girls worth taking pictures of were the three Zatannas that I think some of the booths employed to walk around.

Then you really missed out on the three Zatannas!
It was kind of funny seeing Billy D, Malcolm McD, Brent Spiner, and Nimoy all sitting next to each other at tables in a concrete gynmasium. How the Calgary convention managed to attract these kind of stars amazes me considering how backwater and cramped it all was.

For those that missed the Expo (like myself) you can see a bunch of pictures on Flickr. There are some of the Zatanas in there. I'm going to make you work for them though.

If I would have gone, it would have been to see Billy D, Malcom McD and Nimoy.
I would have been tempted to punch Spinner out for mailing in the last two years of Next Generation and being a scene whore in the movies but not being a good scene whore..
Hey Doctor Okun you suck you hack.

It's just a funny pose, looking like Batman is having difficulty going up the stairs. Part of it is the great costume that makes you think it really is Batman.
