This guy is tearing them apart with one eye... It's not over yet, though. This will be the longest minute ever...

Whoooooo!!!!

SUCK IT SPURS!!!!

Haha man what is up with this year? Sharks shake the Red Wings, Suns own the Spurs.

Now Nash needs to dispatch Kobe and the Lakers and all is well in the NBA for me.

It really is a shame that basketball doesn't get much attention in Canada. When his career is over, Steve Nash might go down as the greatest Canadian athlete of all time.

Pretty crazy that the Suns swept the Spurs. I could have seen them winning the series, but I would have bet anything that the Spurs would have at least won a game. My prediction of Spurs in 6 was so wrong.

My other predictions don't look too bad though, Magic in 5 could happen. Cavaliers in 7 looks like it's almost a certainty the way Rondo is keeping the Celtics in that series. Lakers look like they'll clean up faster than the 7 games I predicted.

Unless he puts together 10 more seasons better than any of the ones he has already had I don't see how he could be considered even close to Gretzky.

In terms of what?

Dominance of their league and number of accolades has been far surpassed by hockey players like Gretzky and Lemieux. I'm not saying he's not amazing, he is, but lets not go crazy.

Alright, alright, I'll back off that hyperbole. At least the greatest Canadian basketball player of all time not named Todd MacCulloch.

Pretty interesting playoffs so far. Didn't ever see my Suns sweeping the Spurs... great that it happened though. Nash is a warrior. I'm just hoping that the Jazz can find a way to extend that LA series by a couple of days and give Phoenix some time off. I really don't like PHX chances against the Lakers though... the LA bigs are going to clean up IMO.

Boston is putting up a hell of a fight. I still think Cleveland gets through... but I still don't like their depth. Orlando looks like a monster of a team. I thought that Cleveland would come out of the East... but man I wouldn't be surprised if Orlando takes down Cleveland again.

The margin of difference in the Orlando-Atlanta series was 126 points.... in 4 games. Ridiculous. They made the #4 seed look like a freaking joke.

In honor of the Suns sweeping of the Spurs, and in appreciation of an incredibly under-appreciated-by-Canadians role model and superstar...

Here's an old wallpaper I found online about 5 years ago. I still dust it off every now and then, and I'm using it again now.

Unfortunately, it was never sized all that well. So I have to center it and then use a black background... but it's hella worth it.

Looking like I'm gonna make a lot of money again this year because of Orlando. They're looking great right now. They even had a couple of bad shooting games and still managed to win, and when they shoot well, they're unstoppable. Why people are only now starting to give them respect boggles my mind.

The next series should be a better test for them though, and I am actually hoping for the Cavs rather than the Celtics. It's much easier to stop one guy with a systematic defence than a whole team (minus Pierce, who's looking selfish and old), and the Cavs even with their trades, still don't match up well with the Magic. Nelson and Carter would have their way with the Cavs backcourt, while the frontcourt would be somewhat of a wash.

Suns-Lakers. I'm rooting for the Suns, but I really don't see how they can deal with Gasol and Bynum together. Kobe is on another level compared to Ginobli, and it would be tough there as well. Huge mismatch at PG and SF though. Grant Hill can still play!

I think the only chance the suns have is either by shooting the lights out or driving and getting LA big men in foul trouble. The only one you really have to worry about is Gasol because Bynum and Odom are both overrated and arent very dangerous.

If phoenix plays small and hits their 3's and them and LA trade 3's for Lakers big men 2's then it could get interesting.

The Lakers 2 best players are better than the Suns 2 best players, but the rest of the Suns team is better than the rest of the Lakers team.

I think the Suns bench will be the difference. They have serious depth, and it's only going to get better with Lopez back.

Field goal percentages in the Orlando series:

Orlando .535 FG% - .393 3PT% (Made 44 three pointers)
Atlanta .377 FG% - .294 3PT% (Made 15 three pointers)

Pretty hilarious for a second round matchup.

Free throws: 116-97 Orlando
Rebounds: 176-140 Orlando

You could see this coming the way Atlanta played against the Bucks in round 1 but yah that was a joke of a series. Its no wonder some Hawks tickets where going for 6$ is posted in an earlier thread.

Phoenix - .451 FG%, .461 3PT% (Made 41 three pointers)
San Antonio - .470 FG%, .359 3PT% (Made 23 three pointers)

Shooting %'s were much closer in the Phoenix series. In fact, San Antonio outshot Phoenix from the field. Threes were the difference.

Free throws: 117-111 San Antonio
Rebounds: 167-160 Phoenix
