Ya it's usually the people that don't know a lot about College basketball are the ones who do really well in their brackets. They don't over think things and go on stats but just pick teams either they like or they have a good feeling about. I know my friend filled out a bracket and he knows nothing about College basketball and he's doing better than me and I follow it pretty closely.
Regardless, this is one of my favorite times of the year. I just love this tournament .

Texas A&M up 42-29 on Utah State at the half.
If they hold on I'll be 7-1 today and 19-4 overall.

I find the people who do the best are guys that know at least a bit about basketball but who's favourite team isn't in the tourney. I've gone 20-23 so far and did well last year but did quite bad the two years prior when my team (Oregon) was in the tourney.

Ya that might be the case but even then, my team is Notre Dame and I still picked them to get upset by Old Dominion which they did so that's not always the case.
I've been filling out brackets for years and it always seems that the guys that do relatively well are the guys who don't follow basketball to regularly and like you said, don't have any obligations towards any teams.
It's all good though because I wager on the games too and I've doing really well. It's sometimes hard though when your bracket has 1 team to advance but you wagered on the other side so your kinda torn but overall, I'd rather win money than win a bracket.

So far, the only seed numbers not represented in the second round are 8, 15, and 16.

Yup and I'm sure 95% of those people had Georgetown at least making the Sweet 16 and then those bums end up losing to Ohio .

I don't think I've seen a smarter game of basketball than the one St. Mary's is playing right now. They always make the right passes and take the right shots.

Villanova gains all the momentum, St. Mary's goes to Samhan, and he delivers. This kid is good.

I said the other day St.Marys could pull off the upset and they did!
How does Scottie choose to have one of, if not his worst, two game stretch of his college career here?

Anyone wanting to call Murray State making their 2nd, and today's 2nd, upset?

Prayer of a three at the buzzer, Murray State leads 26-22 at the half.
