Percocet. That's it. The nice lady won't let me have it more often than the recommended dose so there's an hour of pain between when one dose wears off and the next kicks in.

On the bright side, you get to have fun with more percocet.

Ah FireFly, really sorry to hear about this, I can sympathize far more than you know. 6 weeks ago I had surgery to repair my destroyed ankle and I was also zero weight-bearing. I've been stuck in my house for six weeks and only left to get checked by my surgeon and get new casts. Yesterday they took the last cast off and now I'm told to start to putting small amounts of weight on it until I can start physio.
Do exactly what they tell you to do and don't be shy about asking for help from friends and family. I had to very quickly learn that I couldn't do the things I was used to doing on my own anymore. I still won't be able to drive a car, or have any measure of real independence for at least another 2 weeks.
If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to share with you the little at-home tricks that I developed for myself to get around or do things that were normally very easy but were now very difficult. One thing I'll say for sure is ice and elevation are key (and the awesome painkillers help too). It's going to be a tough road, but you can do it.

Did anyone else think that when they were opening the thread that it was about Hilary Duff joining CP?

Very sorry to hear this FF. Hope your recovery is quick.
Just think of it like this: you are now a Cybernetic Organism, or Cyborg as we prefer to be called. There are many of us around, but we are hard to spot. Once you have completed your recovery in the hyperbaric chamber, you will have to relearn how to use the leg, as the nerves fuse with the reinforced endoskeleton.
After this short relearning process, you will be able to run faster, jump higher and roundhouse kick anyone you wish. You will be FireFlyCyborg!

Yes, it is unfortunate Cyborgs are discriminated against in our society. But your fears are well founded. We will take over humanity. It is only a matter of time.

If I were you I'd steal your neighbours drug supply and market them on here.
That's just me though. I'd sell my grandma if I could make a dollar at it.

Here you go Pho:
Get better soon FF. And yes, sue the property owner. You have damages, and the property owner will have insurance. Don't think about it as anything other than business.
