So I sent 7 of my top players/prospects to a mini camp as I have a stretch of games this next week against high quality opponents. See how my semi-depleted team fairs for the next week!

Wow, my team has rolled over and died this year, it's terrible, I'm in 16th place with 10 points right now, things are not looking so good for Bow Valley
Plus my player pulls for this week were absolute garbage.

Hasn't your team only been playing for three season, and you're already in Div II...I'll be happy to make the playoffs this season nevermind get promoted!
I had one good pull, OVR 175 with off and pass qualities in the 90s, should make a decent centre (well for me he's already a #2 centre).

Just started. (III.16. Congrats to whoever caught the nerdy name without using Google).
Any hints on how to play? I just hired all the applicant staff and players, upgraded a few things (Arena, Medical Facilities, Academy).

Cool, welcome to the club
There's quite a bit, best thing is to try and read through the guide. Important parts are the players section, and to lesser degree the arena and facilities section, just to see what does what.
You'll definately want to get your lines set up, if you go back to the first two pages (1st page for sure) there's actually the most important stuff there, which Kendal posted way back.
And get ready to lose a few games, especially if you're in Div III; I don't think I won until my club was 12 days old - which is when you can go out and buy some good players!

Thanks. Set up my lines. Kinda odd in my mind that forward's defense stat doesn't really effect team defense too much though.
Also, I never saw it mentioned (so I figured I'd ask): Is there a time limit for inactivity. I'll heading off for New York for about 12 days on Tuesday and I really don't want to worry too much about my team.

I wouldn't mind knowing more about experience - is there a ratio of how much it affects?
Like is an 80 OFF player with the same peripherals (Shot, tech & pass) w/ no experience, worse than a 60 OFF player with 30 exp?

Yes, there is a time limit for inactivity. I think (not sure) that it is 14 days, so if you try to log in just once on your trip you should be fine for sure, but since your new to the game it might actually be less time than that at the beginning, so maybe try to log in every 4 days or so just to be safe.

I believe you have 22 days of inactivity before your team goes bye bye. I could be mistaken as I myself have only just begun this addicting game.

Yes there definitely is, I can't tell you exactly what it is, I'll need to try and find it out again. But it does improve a player, I think 50 exp is when it really kicks in. The one I do know is players performances improve like 25% when the line chemistry is 100%.

Pulled off a minor upset, beating the #3 ranked team in the league 3-2 with 6 starters still at camp! I'm now in 6th place, helped by a 5 game winning streak (1 OTW). I also had 850 ppl attend the game, almost twice as many as has ever come.
Friendly tomorrow with Chalms, our first match with our new teams which should be good.

Good to know, though it seems experience is something that doesn't come too quickly..

I'm 6-2-0-1 since taking over my team.
Going down 0-3 before I became the manager has hurt pretty bad, but I managed to make it into 9th. I think I'll make the playoffs for sure.

I think Chalms and me both started off something like 1-5 (at least I did), but once you hit day 11 and can buy better players it really makes a difference. The only teams that beat me now are other teams with bought players, and I can sometimes even beat them with tactics.
Its helps that probably half our league inactive, makes for a lot of easy games. I had won seven in a row (including friendlies) until today ... but now Chalms and me are tied for 6th!

Finally won a game again, 4-2 win, up to 15th place. Its really hard being patient and staying on low importance, but it's going to really help me in the second half of the season.

So after scouting my goalie, he is 97/96/60 for Goaltending/Passing/Tech. Scouting takes forever...
So he's a keeper.

Jeez, I love winning big again. I'm winning 8-0 in the second period in my first national cup game, against La Tornade.
