You could always use the Johnny Cochrane defense:
" 'It' did not 'fit' therefore you must acquit!"

I meant go to bars. Hard to date someone when they can't get in anywhere.

Unless you went to Cowboys...the average age of that place was barely 16...

Yeah, I've had girlfriends that required me to drink alcohol to be around them too. Oddly enough none of them were under 21.

Fortunately that place never has been open in my couple trips to Calgary. I was referring to the States where a girl has to be 21.

You do know that it's possible to meet/go out with women without having to go to bars right? It's harder, but it can be done. Not that I've done it, but I know a guy who did once.

Yes I do, but when you are dating a girl who can't go out and a bunch of your friends are going out on a friday night you have to make a choice and if it happens often it becomes a hassle. I am not dating people to get married I date them for fun. As soon as it becomes a hassle I'm pretty much done.

Pics or this story seems false.

I don't know where you live, but when I was at a point in my life where dating someone in that age group was a good idea, in every US city I've lived in the most fun places to be on a friday night are the house parties packed with people under 21 (or bars that don't ID). I mean lets be honest, if you're dating a 19 year old girl you want to be in a room full of drunk 19 year old girls.

19 is fine. At 20, she's over the hill, and he should trade her in for a newer model.

I think I'll chip in since I'm of the age in question. I turned 19 this week and it's like wow, I only have a year left of being a teenager. I don't really have any friends that aren't within 18-24 months of my age, and I would find it VERY weird if one of my female friends was dating a 33 year old. But that's just me.

I guess it depends on what you think is fun. All my friends are pretty much musicians and in Austin, Tx Thurs-Sat nights you go downtown to either see bands (we are afterall the live music capital of the world) or hit the clubs on 6th St. At 29 yrs old I don't think I could stand being in a room of 19 yr old dudes. It wouldn't be the girls that would be the problem, but the dude bros would annoy the hell out of me.

i have to question the maturity of a 33 year old that dates a 19 year old. either he is just dating her Just to sleep with her (grow up, there's more to life), or he is about mature as a 19 year old, which is sad for a 33 year old.
i know its just a number, but it just seems wierd. anyways that's just my opinion, clearly it bothers you, so you are either jealous or just mature enough to see your friend is not in the right state of mind. either way, I don't know that there is anything you can do to knock some sense into him, other than an intervention. which would jeapordize your friendship, so maybe let him do his thing and he will either get bored of the girl, she will come to her senses or they will be happy. big deal

Oh they'd annoy the hell out of anyone, but that's the price you pay for hooking up with 18-19 year old girls. From my impressions of Austin, it seems to be well worth it.
