Bump for a trip in May!
Anybody into swim-up blackjack? Just wondering if there's anything on the strip has it, and that I don't have to be staying in their hotel for to get into the pools.

if you want a budget hotel then do the Paris.
it is on the same block as Caesars and Bellagio without the same price tag
you can get a room for $85 there

We found the breakfast there to be the best on the strip and kept coming back.
Reasonable price, excellent quality, great atmosphere.

It's been a while, but the last I heard, Hard Rock and Tropicana were the only two to have swim-up blackjack, but I haven't really payed attention to that in a couple of years.

Already got a comped room at Mirage. We stayed at Paris last time though, and it was quite nice for the dollar value.

We kept going to the crepe place in Paris for breakfast last time. Pretty much everywhere in that hotel serves decent food. The sports bar there was awesome. The desert sliders there are one of the coolest things I've seen when it comes to foodstuffs.

That's what I'm seeing on the usual travel websites, but going to directly to some of the hotel/casino websites there's a few more showing that they offer it. Caesars does, but I could only find the info on their site, not frommers/goingtovegas/about travel etc.
Just hoping someone had been there recently and could provide some updated info.
Hard Rock may be an option. A bit out of the way but I've missed it the last 2 times I was there, so that might be a good bet. Tropicana does not offer it until Memorial Day weekend.

So, I'm usually just a daily lurker here with infrequent posts, but I'm looking for some advice, and hoped CP might be able to help me out.
My buddy is getting married this summer, and planning the bachelor party has largely fallen to me. So far I've got 6 of us booked to go to Vegas for a weekend (arrive Friday evening, leave Monday morning), staying at the Mirage. Now that I've got that booked, I'm realizing that I should probably have at least some stuff planned and booked so that we don't end up wasting the weekend waiting in lines or trying to make plans.
Specifically, I'm looking for tips on: - Restaurants (a good steakhouse would be awesome)
- Bars/nightclubs. My understanding is that with a group of 6-7 guys, getting in without bottle service is not likely; has anyone had any experience with that?
- "Gentlemen's clubs" (I'm not entirely sure if this is allowed by my friend's fiance or not, but I think the odds of us ending up in one at some point during the weekend are pretty high)
- Any types of day-time activities that 6 guys in their mid-twenties might enjoy. I was looking at booking a cabana at the pool one day, but I'm not sure if this would be worth it or not.
Any thoughts on the above, or other tips for a Vegas bachelor party would be very much appreciated.

If you're staying at the Mirage there is a Brazilian BBQ place right off the casino that was pretty good when we were there, I'd recomend it for a bachelor party kick off.
If you're gonna go to a strip club, call for limo service, it's free and you get free cover.
Also if there's 6 of you spring for the bottle service, it's not much more expensive than buying individual drinks, and the girls are way more likely to hang out at your booth than the crappy tables on the floor (i'd recomend the spearment rino)
If you're looking for a more relaxed way to spend an afternoon, I would highly recomend O'Sheas. They might as well rename that place frat boys, but it's a hell of a good time. $5 blackjack (for those wo don't want to play higher limits) and beer pong tables in the back. Seriously, it's a ridiculously fun and relatively cheap way to kill a few hours, and it fits nicely with the bachelor party vibe.

Go to Skybox at Aria and order the Firecracker burger. The waitress is just messing with you when she warns you about how spicy it is multiple times.

O'Sheas is a gem! So is bills gambling hall cheap tables drinks are plentiful. If you are with a big group it is easier to get all your buddies on one table then at a big casino. O'sheas is where I spent the night before my wedding winning at the blackjack table losing at beer pong and puking in the washroom. Good times

I have a ton of experience in this department :-)
You're right - you have almost no chance of getting into a club with a group of guys that big unless you use a host and pay about 75 bucks a guy. that being said, getting bottle service is definately the way to go. You're guaranteed to get in, you don't have to worry about getting drinks at the bar and you have your own hot server. The best clubs in Vegas right now include XS, Marquee, Pure, The Bank, Tao, LAX, Tryst, Rain, Jet and Haze. My personal favourite is XS! I guess which club you go to depends on the day of the week and what type of music/scene you're into.
As for booking a cabana at a pool - meh. I personally prefer to not have one. That way you're not locked into one location at the party for the whole day. There are a lot of pool parties in Vegas but the 2 best are Rehab and Encore Beach Club. I'd def try to go to Rehab if I were you guys.
Oh ya, if you guys really want to have fun, make sure that everyone in the group expect to spend about 1000 bucks a day. Roughly 500 for bottle service and 500 for the pool party and meals. There's nothing worse than being in Vegas with a big group when there's that one guy that's complaining about how much money he has to spend. If everyone knows before they go down there they can plan accordingly and can't bi*cH about it.

craftsteak at the MGM is the best steak spot I've found there. I also liked the Top of The World resturant in the Stratosphere. That one's in a sketchy area, but if you cab it you'll be fine.

The best steak spot, is in Circus Circus. The rest of the place is hell on earth, but for some reason Circus Circus has an amazing steak house.
The place is just called the "Steakhouse". Reasonably priced and consistently voted the best in Vegas.

I have to agree. Vegas is all about planning and finding deals. You should be able to spend a lot less than $1000/day and have the absolute time of your life, with all the booze you can possibly drink and entry into any club. For that much money, if you really want a stripper/club experience, you could rent your own stripper for the entire trip..probably several of them.
Never pay retail in a place like Vegas, ever.

Sorry dude, but if you've done Vegas like my buddies and I this is not possible. Plan all you want but in Vegas there are no deals if you want to hit the best spots on busy weekends.
