Lizard and Kraven would translate well to the celluloid. Venom's already been done. It was actually a pretty accurate depiction of him in Spiderman 3. It was also horrible because the character is awful.

There is a positive correlation between the number of villains in a movie and how craptacular it is. One is best, two is acceptable and three is like spiderman 3 or the george clooney Batman movie.

Batman Begins had Raj Algool (sp?) and scarecrow, and it was BEST! Dark Knight had Joker and Two face, and it was BESTEST! So I say two is best or bestest.
But with Spiderman 3, they should have broken it into two movies. In the first they introduce the sandman, have him kick the crap out of spidey and then introduce the symbiote and spidey turns the tables. Then to finish the movie have the Doc. Connors remove the symbiote and keep it for testing (just like in the comics but without the Mr. Fantastic four stretchy man doing the symbiote removing). Then that perfectly sets up the events of a venom movie.

Technically *pushes up glasses with index finger* there were three villains in The Dark Knight, Scarcrow was in it at the start.

I actually feel that The Dark Knight suffered because of both Joker and Two Face being in the movie. The Scarecrow was ok in Batman Begins because he was really just a henchman of Ra's al Ghul and thus had a small part.
One villain, one good story.

Two Face wasn't so much a criminal mastermind/villian, but a victim. I thought it was really cool how his character developed and took a dark twist during the movie.. instead of being just a "bad guy"

You guys ready for a 'gritty and contemporary' web slinger?

Edit: Other good news, Deadpool is on hold till Green Lantern is done. Hence my rumors were false.

No way on the scarecrow part in Begins. He was connected to Algool but he wasn't a henchmen and his character was awesome and stood on it's own.
As for your Dark Knight assessment of Two-face, you can't do that movie without Harvey Dent. And I think the inclusion of him was almost necessary to maintain the strength of the plot.

Scarecrow was working for the League of Shadows and carrying out Ra's al Ghul's plot. He wasn't really standing on his own.
Harvey Dent was fine in Dark Knight, but the events of the movie should have turned him into Two Face for a separate film. The film dragged as a result of both of them being in.

He conspired (same difference) with ra. And I meant his character was stand-alone in terms of the universe. The scarecrow is a prominent villain in Batman's 'Universe'.

I think they need to make up a villian thats never been seen before.
Maybe steal one from the tick.
How awesome would it be to see Spiderman fighting the human fist, or the terror, or Joseph Stalin.
I'd go to see that movie.

I agree that he is an important character in the universe, but it terms of the amount of story dedicated to him, it wasn't huge, which is why it worked so well.

I may be in the minority, but I'm still waiting for an awesome Superman movie. Something that does the character justice. Reeve was great but special effects have come such a long way since then. Returns had some good moments (airplane rescue scene) but was largely crap.
The character had been done so many times and may need to be put to bed but I'm still waiting for a great superman flick.
Ya this thread is about spidey, so sue me.

Yeah, but in reality Superman is about as interesting as Vanilla Ice Cream.

They are working on a Superman reboot.. from what I understand they are taking their time with the casting and story line, which is good.
Superman needs to not fight a rock. Out of the list of his villains for a first movie, General Zod, Parasite and Braniac make the mos sense. Lex Luthor is not entertaining enough to start and Doomsday or Darkseid is to heavy.
I would work Lex in for the second movie, then Doomsday or Darkseid in movie three.

I know, they should make a "grittier" more "contemporary" Superman where he goes to high school and meets the love of his life Lois Lane only to lose her... wait a second...

Not an Evil Dead/Army of Darkness fan? (there must be a few; more than a few potentially). Or just a general dislike of what he brings? Maybe he killed Spidey for you? (can appreciate that i guess, didn't mind the films personally, but don't find Spidey all that interesting to begin with).

Not I. Evil Dead/Army of Darkness is always the BS that Raimi apologists trot out.
How quickly they forget that Evil Dead was supposed to be a legitimate horror film, but Raimi did such a bad job that it was taken as a joke. He just ran with it.
Sam Raimi is not good at what he does. As a matter of fact, he is absolutely horrible both at writing and directing.

"A Simple Plan" and "Darkman" are good movies, but he's made a lot of crap.
