The Harper government is slapping extra fees on travellers to pay for the hundreds of new security officers and full-body scanners in Canadian airports.

Transport Minister John Baird said the new fees will increase by $2.58 to $8.91 depending on the destination, on top of the current charges that range from $5 to $17 a passenger each way.

Maybe I've missed the answer, but do they have seperate male and female scanners? So that only the same sex is checking out your curves?

If you opted for a pat-down instead, they'd have to be the same sex...so why not the scanner pervs?
