If someone came on CP and said in all seriousness that there were too many blacks or Jews on TV, they'd get banned straight away, no questions asked, and no one would be asking why it's such a big deal if the guy is racist.

You don't have to love everything on a gay tv shows or everything a gay character does, but when you're getting angry simply because a show you like had a gay character show up, and the only reason you cite for your dislike of said character is because they're gay, that's pretty ignorant.

For instance, I don't like Ellen. Is it because she's gay? No, it's because I think she's not that funny.
Of course that being said, I'm also a little jealous that she gets to diddle Portia De Rossi.

I get that, I really do, granted, few people would admit that they were a homophobe, its not really a very attractive trait that people like to associate themselves with.

It's the same reason people argue anything on a message board. They see a comment that is really dumb, and they have to reply to it, and it gets out of hand. We know we're not going to change the other dude's mind, but for some reason we all get sucked in once in a while. That being said, I will probably carry on.

So there's an article that outlines who 12 straight members of the NHL are banging.

Seems to me that if there was an article about who 1 gay NHL player was banging, then that would actually be a pretty reasonable level of representation.

I just saw the 'Ellen Degenerate' comment. That was started by the now deceased, extremely rich man named Reverend Jerry Falwell. Ellen has a huge heart and is a great human being, calling her childish names like that is extremely pathetic. I did not think much of mikey's homophobia, but saying some gay talk show hosts 'make his skin crawl' is just a little over the top.

That is how a homophobe is defined in the dictionary. Hatred is a very strong emotion and I don't feel that way toward gays. I like Neil Patrick Harris afterall.... I just find the flaming antics on TV annoying, and over represented.

As for your list, I can give you a lot of reasons why I don't like most of the people on your list. Most of the musicians I don't like thier music (except some Elton John), some of them are jerks, or ###### bags (Hatch, and Hilton), and some are just annoying (Ellen, and O'Donnell), you'll notice, that them being gay has nothing to do with why I don't like them.

Okay I was being a little tongue in cheek/smart-ass about it...I get it.

Yeah there are alot of reasons why I don't like the people on the list too. Take Rosie O'Donnell for instance. I didn't know she was gay for the longest time. She simply came off as a fat, obnoxious housewife to me.

The people I listed all don't repulse me specifically because they are gay, except for Richard Simmons.

While you may find certain people 'annoying' I think the fact that they are annoying has nothing to do with their sexual orientation.
