Crazy, I had some people come over, and I didn't get a chance to finish my post! I submitted a few hours later! FATA this thread!

Crazy trial, I cannot see how anyone can think that because you are in Italy, you must consent to their system. She is a victim, period.

Maybe she's innocent but how can anyone think that you're not subject to the system of the country you're in?

Because that's pretty much the norm when it comes to major crimes?? your home nation is virtually always involved.

Appeal allows new evidence reviews, witnesses

Quote:
American Amanda Knox won a major victory Saturday in her appeal of the murder conviction in the death of her British roommate when an Italian appellate judge granted approval of independent forensic reviews on two key pieces of evidence.

Hellman also said he will allow new witnesses for the defense, including two people who are said to have information showing that Knox and Sollecito were not involved in Kercher's death.
And then you have the prosecutor bent on letting these kids rot in jail for a crime not proven. how about some REAL proof quif.
Quote:
"Why do you need to review the forensic evidence when this conviction is based on much more than the knife and the bra clasp?" Prosecutor Manuela Comodi argued before the court began deliberating.

She then reminded the court that Knox and Sollecito don't have an alibi for the night of the killing, adding that there was "ample" evidence of a staged break-in.

That didn't address my question.

Now I feel like George Constanza with his delayed "jerk store" retort.

A controversial television drama about the Amanda Knox murder case looks set to go ahead in the US.
Lawyers for Knox and for the family of her victim, Meredith Kercher, have both demanded the show be stopped before it is broadcast on Monday.

Sounds a bit irresponsible given that there's an ongoing appeal albeit in a different country?

If me arriving at the view that Knox taking part in a murder, accusing someone else (Patrick Lumumba) who was completely innocent then giggling with Sollecito and doing cartwheels and splits in the copshop in the immediate aftermath of the murder is not the action of a cold bitch is your definition of 'ignorance', good luck to you.

Never heard about the cartwheels and splits but please show any real evidense that Knox is guilty, from your side it's easy to say she's just a bitch and "probably" did it so let her rot but from my side all I see is the Italians just need someone to be in jail...just as they have in cases in the past including jailing Lumumba and the "monster of florence".

It's a fck'n trainwreck of a justice system over there.

I don't know if she is guilty or not, but I have no doubt that the trial was unfair and that the justice system there is a joke.

I'm still undecided about the guilt or innocence of this girl, and the legal system in Italy is opposite to what we're used to with guilty until proven innocent.

Her bizarre behavior and her shaky alibi, including the shower story did a big part in damning her.

I think at the very least another trial is in order though.

Appeal verdict being announced 130pm Calgary time.

Most legal experts(American ones anyway) seem to think original guilty verdict will be overturned.

I have no idea if Knox was in on it or if it was just the African who broke in and killed Kercher.

Waiting with baited breath for the verdict.
