I talked to one truck driver today, with the limited visibility, he wasn't going out without RCMP around to make sure there's lights and such. Had what he called "too many close calls" to head out on his own.

I just drove the deerfoot from Glenmore to Beddington with no problems at all, infact it was faster than normal (people must have took off early today)

McIvor Blvd is a mess. The wind has covered half the road with a 1-2 ft snow drift which is blocking most people from leaving east Copperfield. The wind has already undone most of my work at clearing the front walk. Thankfully I don't really have anywhere to be right now.

I bet the picture of this "pothole" was taken in Edmonton.

I get that, I was wondering why he was on the ice. But I deserved that, should've been more clear.

It appears to be a service truck of some sort, my guess would be that someone required service and the only access was to travel on the ice. Based on this picture it's difficult to tell.

I will be driving northbound from Airdrie, has anyone been on that stretch recently? It looks like it is open.

The roads are snowy, but not particularly slippery. Drivinng shouldn't be too much of a problem, just take it easy. Drifting is the the thing to watch out for.
