I would say that is a huge difference. I don't have my parents filling my cupboards with food, I don't have them buying cleaning supplies, I don't have them doing my laundry and cleaning my room.

I'll bet you pay full fair-market rent, too.

No I don't. Why don't I? Because I am their freakin' son! They feel better when it is my living here than some random strangers who could destroy their suite and all they have left is a small damage deposit.
It also comes down to it being a two bedroom suite but with me just living here there is less electricity used, less water used, etc.

Where you have opened your self up to criticism, IMO, is acting like Mr. Moneybags and putting people down who may have less familial money than you seem to have. I've heard you been called a ###### in this thread - I don't want to get personal like that, but when you act like a big shot don't be surprised when you get called on it.

When did I act like Mr. Moneybags? Was it when I called my own car cheap/inexpensive? Or was it when I talked in relative terms. From the very beginning I have explained I am speaking in relative terms after my first post was misunderstood.
I guess the simple way to think about it is with houses/condos. Sure a condo is a lot of money but they are cheap/inexpensive compared to a house. Is that a knock on people who live in condos? NO! If you buy a one level, 2 bedroom house it is going to
cheaper than buying a 3 level, 5 bedroom house.
Relative terms, pretty easy concept to understand for most. But I guess not for all.
