This is me as well. And when we get these cars, we'll have a poll "Do you like manual or automatic steering?" and there'll be crazy people picking manual there, too.
I used to enjoy driving when I was younger, now I'd be just as happy getting teleported from place to place. I had a couple jobs where I drove all over Alberta and southern BC, and after a while - especially after the long trips in the winter - the drudgery infected my attitude to all driving.

Jeremy Clarkson explains the Dual Clutch System on the Audi TT. While many of us on here probably will never own one of those. This is the reason why higher end cars that have a REAL dual clutch system will shift faster than a manual shifter.
I'd say lots of us will own those. They are already on the GTI, A3, A4, EVO, Lancer Ralliart and a few other semi-affordable cars. They'll trickle down like every once high end feature. Ford Focuses come with heated mirrors now!
Also, for the most part I would consider the Miata a sports car. Though it lacks brute power, it handles like it's on rails which is probably why it's a common track weapon. And when modded, it can produce decent numbers.
Personally, I would never drive one - it just doesn't look the part for me - but even stock it could drive circles around some other so-called "sports" cars. I wouldn't knock the Miata, unless it's just looks that we're talking about.
The only time I ever drove a manual car was on a deserted beach in Chile a few years ago. My cousin and I split 2 bottles of tequila and after pissing off our women, the 2 of us decided to take a drive. He taught me and eventually we killed that car's transmission for good.

Definitely manual, though rush hour traffic with one is the bane of my existance. Nothing's worse than having some jackanape in front of you constantly hovering at a speed right where you need to shift, and rotating from going a couple km's under that to a couple km's over, so you're constantly shifting between 3rd and 4th gear every 6 seconds.
Whether standard or automatic, cars are boring to drive. They are just utilitarian and functional. Get a motorcycle if you want to have fun .
Agreed. Cars can be fun, but you can't compare them to motorcycles. I'd need a car well beyond what I'm willing to spend to even come close to the excitement that I feel on a bike.

By one of those, I don't mean a car with Dual Clutch Transmission, I mean an Audi TT
Whatever my future Lamborghini ends up being, I prefer.
Do they even make automatic Lamborghini's or Ferrari's, or are all those supercars manuals?

Love my Standard. Started driving stick 2 years ago and haven't looked back since.
I find it gives me better control over the road (and I find that I pay more attention to the road as well). There were a couple times I zoned out while driving an Automatic and came close to hitting someone. Never happens with stick as there is more to do. And it just feels more fun.
