No kidding. how is that even fun? I wouldn't be able to make it through one game without getting bored if it was that easy.

I get some kind of Patrick Kane bonus for pre-ordering at Gamestop, i'm not sure if EB games in canada has the same deal.

You unlock Kane's gear, plus get a 9 point boost for your BAP or OTP player.

Better than nothing I guess

I hate EB. They just called me to tell me they have the game (I pre-ordered) and that I can pick it up tomorrow. They also let me know they are opening early. I asked if I can have it now since they have it and they said no.

Thanks for calling me and teasing me. I hope your store explodes after I get my game tomorrow.

Seems pretty nice to me.

I know they can't. I appreciate the customer service, it's better then calling me to say they didn't get the order in and I'm screwed.

I just wanna play the bloody game already.

I agree, but my reasoning was that if I score a bunch in the minors they would call me up quickly. Apparently not.
Once I got called up, I was planning on returning to normal.

I finally managed to get drafted by the Flames, so I'm starting again with the team for a tryout.

FYI, now that I'm on the Flames I'm playing on All-Star.

I went to play game one to find the Flames defense now looks like:

Gonchar - Phaneuf
Regehr - Bouwmeester
Cook - Campoli

We beat Vancouver 3-2 in OT. I scored the winner, after having a not so great first three periods.

As a video game reviewer, I've had this game for two weeks now.

Let me just say that I couldn't put this down for two weeks straight. Except for a few game play quirks and menu hiccups, this game is about as bloody brilliant as they come for hockey titles.

EA does it again.

Even worse is the fact that McGrattan is playing on the 3rd line (every pass from him goes to the other team) while Boyd is in the minors.

Most of the load/save screens are painfully slow this year in comparison to last year.

The only other complaint I have so far is with 'position lock' style Be a Pro, half of on the fly line changes result in the game not assigning me to a player.

Also if your created player was in the penalty box and joins the play, you have to wait until a faceoff it seems to return to being him.

Hopefully these will be adjusted with the first update.

Everything else is awesome though.

So this game is pretty much a must buy? I was thinking of maybe skipping NHL 10. How much better is it than 09?
