Actually it's not very common at all. Franz is a German name. In the Czech Republic most people's first names are picked from a list
(on a Czech calendar each day is assigned a name, Franz is not on the list). During communist rule you could basically only choose a name from that list, luckily now people are free to choose any name.
But then again that doesn't mean that is was a hard word to come up with, as proven by the other groups. Though this is the same group who couldn't come up with the suitcase combination, so it shouldn't be a shock.
