I am disappointed, I thought they were a great team. Why would you take a 4 hour penalty, there are 5 letters it is not hard to organize them in many different ways. Also Franz is not that hard of a name, it is pretty common, in fact I would venture it is one of the most common Czech names.

He knew the first letter was F, why wouldn't he just try every combination? There are only 24 total words you can make with the first letter as F, I know you could test all 24 in under 4 hours, easily. I was really rooting for these guys to win it all, but I'm thinking maybe he should focus less on basketball and go back to grade 4 so he can learn how to think rationally.

Actually it's not very common at all. Franz is a German name. In the Czech Republic most people's first names are picked from a list
(on a Czech calendar each day is assigned a name, Franz is not on the list). During communist rule you could basically only choose a name from that list, luckily now people are free to choose any name.

But then again that doesn't mean that is was a hard word to come up with, as proven by the other groups. Though this is the same group who couldn't come up with the suitcase combination, so it shouldn't be a shock.
