By the time April comes around I basically won't give two craps about whats going on because I've pretty much forgotten whats happened.

Look at the long break for Lost a show that has a billion micro story lines. Chances are that first episode is going to sound like

"Who the frack is that guy"

"What the hell is going on"

"Where the hell did that come from"

"Have they answered the crap about the three toes yet, I don't remember"

Time away from a show doesn't make me more excited about it coming back, especially if something better comes on in the meantime.

I think more shows are doing it, and doing it on purpose to try and get a few more sales for their DVD packages that seem be released almost immediately. There are so few TV shows that I watch regularly now because of this.

According to IMDB and Wikipedia, yes.

Glee is choreographed by Zach Woodlee, and features five to eight production numbers per episode. Once Murphy selects a song, rights are cleared with its publishers by music supervisor P.J. Bloom, and music producer Adam Anders rearranges it for the Glee cast. Numbers are pre-recorded by the cast, while Woodlee constructs the accompanying dance moves, which are then taught to the cast and filmed. Studio recordings of tracks are then made. The process begins six to eight weeks before each episode is filmed, and can end as late as the day before filming begins. Each episode costs at least $3 million to produce, and can take up to 10 days to film as a result of the elaborate choreography.

They do their own singing, but I've been noticing a LOT of stuff has been quite obviously autotuned (True Colors, Proud Mary, and one of Mercedes' songs stand out). It's really a shame they resort to that, because all of the people involved are talented enough to get by without it.

Jayma Mays annoys the hell out of me. It's her voice.

Other than that, great show. Scene between Will and Terri last week was awesome, as previously pointed out.

The pre-recording of the music bugs me, but I can see why they do it since some of them are probably better at the singing than others and it creates a standard quality for the work which can be exported to other mediums for CD sales etc. Some situations like the 'duet' between the gay guy and the jewish girl wouldn't have been possible to film given the context it was in, if it wasn't prerecorded.
