Does anyone listen to the Smalls? There were a couple times that I was reminded of that band while listening to this.
Love the Smalls, but don't see the similarities...I see this for the most part as a great album, a great mix of Queens of the Stone age and Zep with a super kick ass drummer-If Zeppelin was to tour-Grohl would be a great choice to fill in on drums.

I'd say that score is fair. The album is has its moments, but its not all great. Some of it is fairly generic, some songs sound like QOTSA b-sides. The moments where the band really hit their stride just don't come along often enough. I was pretty excited about the album but its not quite as good as I was expecting.

I think its a great album. I love the riffs and love some of the songs. Its one of the best to come along in a long, long time.

Well last year there were at least 2....you might know the guy who compiled them!

Seriously you might be surprised though. I listen to a fair amount of music even if I don't buy a lot. I have satellite radio and its on music stations fairly often.

Latest epic video of them. Includes a new song Highway 1, which is just as awesome as should be expected. Really good quality here, could've been turned into a DVD.

FYI-The Vultures are on Austin City Limits tonight @ midnight on PBS (but for some reason, not PBS HD)
Hope for better than Saturday Night Live last week, I think the sound was a bit off.
