Oh WOW. Backlund got DESTROYED on an open ice hit from Stone. Wouldn't be surprised if he's concussed. Keep your head up kid!

The announcers on Shaw are calling it maybe the hardest hit ever in the WHL. Only competition is the Cory Sarich hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKtA_nJLbc

Backlund is back out on the ice. His helmet was broken on the hit and they needed to find him a new one.

Wow, hits are flying fast and furious now.

A few of them by Evan Bloodoff. When the Flames are looking to draft someone in the later rounds they could do worse then that kid.

2-1 Rockets. Backlund with an assist off the faceoff.

Well, with Kelowna winning the special teams battle right now, I guess we are safe from hearing Moon bitch and moan about the evil Hitmen getting the referees favour.

Simply awful second period by Calgary tonight. You simply CAN NOT let a team run over like that.

Really solid third period going on here. 10 minutes left.

As good as he has been, Guggenberger might well be the luckiest goaltender on earth. He's had so many pucks that he had no idea where they were simply hit him.

Hitmen are trailing for the same reason they lost games one and two: They can't pass to save their lives. Especially when the forwards are standing around like idiots, making it very, very easy for Kelowna to defend.

When exactly did that happen?

I have only seen hitmen fans and that crazy Rockets fan bitch about the refs.

Terrible luck for Myers on the tying goal. God that has to hurt.

Tied 2-2, going to OT. This game is ridiculous, hit after hit, chance after chance. Back to back breakaways - Backlund was saved on his. Kelowna has been outplaying the Hitmen pretty badly I'd say.

Let's go Hitmen!!

I agree. The last 5 minutes was probably the best I have seen in a game. OT is going to be fantastic.

Brilliant analysis from the colour man there... Apparently Jones' save on Backlund's breakaway was his biggest of the series... really?

And it is terrible play like that that makes me glad Alex Plante is an Oilers draft pick.

Backlund ends the game with 2 helpers. He end the playoffs with 23 points.
