Have you tried sitting around, drinking beer and sucking back pork rinds like they're going out of style? Always works for me.

I thought it was 1 gram of protien for every pound of body wieght? For instance I try to eat 200 grams of protien a day. Eating 300 or 400 grams of protien a day would be almost impossible for me.

I think a better way to do it is, 1 to 1.5 for every lean pound of weight.

200 grams, unless you are on steroids is probably more than enough for someone who weighs 200lbs.

What I find that works better for me instead of actually just having a ton of protein, is varying the sources where i get my protein. IE eat a lot of eggs, meat, and wehy. Not just focus on the one.

Yeah, its not even a fair bet.

Make me 165lbs and I can gain 10 lbs easily. You just have to eat right and drink lots of milk.

Oh, and deadlift and Squat too.

Yeah it really isn't much of a competition.

Gaining weight is a lot easier than losing it. Why? Because you can consume an unlimited amount of calories. Right now you might consume 2000 calories but I know of people who consume 10000 calories a day. That would essentially be adding over two pounds a day. Albeit the people who eat that many calories are bodybuilders but it certainly is possible to eat that much if you eat calorie dense food. There is no way on Earth that one could lose 2 pounds a day because you have to create a deficit of at least 7000 calories. That just can't and shouldn't happen.

Furthermore, you can also gain weight by water retention by consuming more sodium or creatine. You also have the ability to drink 3 or 4 gallons of water on weigh in day which would easily add an extra 10 pounds. The other guy couldn't do that.

Isn't that the Atkins diet?

Nope...beer has too many carbs. The Atkins diet would replace the beer with pre-congealed bacon fat.

I should start up my own diet.

The Locke Diet: Beer, pork rinds and laziness, you may not lose weight, but you'll die much sooner so you wont suffer nearly as long and nearly no effort required.

I am sure it has been mentioned already but I didn't read all of the posts. BUt the fastest way to gain weight is to drink a TON of beer. Drink like 6 beers a night everyday and you'll be good.

I gained 30lbs last summer on the beer weight gain program. It was a huge success.

Sorry let me clarify, by going 1x of bodyweight you will still see results. However by upping the calorie and protein intake you have nothing to lose. I made the assumption that you wanted to gain lean mass quickly.
I find in my experience that by only doing 1x my bodyweight, it is more of a maintenance regime. 1.5 is optimal.
