Yeah Stairs has definitely been one of Canada's worst players this tournament. He's done nothing at the plate with several key at-bats both tonight and on Saturday and has definitely looked lost in the field tonight.

What a joke. Take a quick look and see that there's no play at second.

How much of an upset is this going to be? Is this on par with the Netherlands victory?

Depends on your perspective. The Nederlands upset is like an 7 seed beating a 1. Italy beating Canada is a 14 beating a 6.

Chris Denorfia.... again.

Probably worse. Dutch are still up 1-0 in their game although they keep dodging bullets. PR's got bases loaded again.

Talk about the talent gap! No one after Votto, Morneau and Bay!

Canada's teams are absymal when they're hosting any type of international sporting events.

Thankfully 2010 shouldn't be like that.

Italian-Americans? Like Punto and Catallenato?

There may have been more Major Leaguers on Italy than Canada!

Canada has tons of talent, too bad only half of it made it to the tourny, and only half of those guys showed up for the game against Italy.

Shameful.

Would have been so much better if a pitcher or 5 manned up.
