Looks like we have 23 drafters now.
We can use the randomizer that Girly has used in her drafts.
http://www.random.org/lists/

I could do it, but probably it should be a non-participant.

(P.S. You're all going down!)

If there's still room, I'd like to get in on this.

No to the snake draft. The people who are near the beginning and end have to wait ages for a pick after two quick ones. The randomizer works well and since there are tons of albums to choose from, in multiple genres, there should be no issues.

I like Itse's list too.

We will need a volunteer for randomizing draft order, and a volunteer to create and update a linkable spread sheet.

I think we can implement Itse's suggestions.

I could do the spreadsheet too, I think. Doesn't look too hard.

Perhaps use google spreadsheets. You can publish it as a webpage and you can give multiple people the ability to update it, so it wouldn't require one person to always keep it up to date, the task could be shared.

I was playing around with it a bit yesterday, just to see what it could do.

Yeah, that's what I was wanting to use, after seeing Barnes do it in the TV Draft. Way easier than the webpage in the Movie one. You have the original categories already listed, so that's a great start.

I just threw in the names.

So is the category change official?

And I'm not sure if iti is a gmail account that is required to share the permissions to edit (probably, but I haven't dug into that).

The only thing I haven't figured out how to do is link a cell entry. It would be nice if we could link the spreadsheet entry back to the pick.

I'm only talking roughly one or two albums but i was wondering (I would assume) if it's ok to use a couple of famous/historic bootlegs as my selections. My whole music collection is primarily bootlegs and not really a studio recording fan myself.

Like i said above i wouldn't over use this option because i would rather have the selections being mainly assessable. I wouldn't pick an absurd recording... more of one the main 3 that are always downloaded from me from new members

Question about live albums: Do live DVDs count?

There are a couple of "albums" that I've bought off iTunes that are only available as live DVDs in the music stores... Technically, they aren't "albums" but can they be considered as albums for this?

I think we can be flexible about that.

I think that is okay, but officially we discourage illegal acquisition of music.
