Assuming the Marion deal goes through, does anyone see the Marion/Triano combination being enticing for Nash to sign with the Raps this offseason? I really believe Colangelo is making a push for that.

Could you imagine a lineup of:

PG- Nash
SG- Calderon/Parker/1st rd pick this year
SF- Marion
PF- Bosh
C- Bargnani

That lineup is scary good in the East....and considering the Raps could get a top 10 pick this year, that's good depth for next year as well. Of course I'm ignoring salary cap implications, but I'd take that lineup anyday.

Yowsa... who would play defense on that team? I guess you could mark that team down for 120+ points a game... I'm just not sure if that is for or against.

That's a horrible lineup. Where is the size/rebounding/defense?

Also, Nash is not a free agent in July.

Nash is 2010? I thought he was 09.

I don't think that is a horrible lineup. Marion is a great defender who is a pretty good rebounder too. Bosh can also grab boards.....perimeter D is probably identical to what it is now, but you have a lot more scoring opportunities with Nash on the point.

Probably one of the worst defensive teams in the league, but they'd sure be fun to watch.

Nash has a team option for an additional year.

Craps vs Pistons tonight, should be another embarrassment.

I would rather have a guy like Marcus Camby or David Lee than the over-hyped bad-attitude Shawn Marion.

I was actually going to watch the game last night, even though the Raps always get trounced by the Pistons. Sure enough, its on TSN2 where I can't see it.

Fu*k the raps.

Nice to see Moon's lazy, ridiculously soft ass benched today.

Edit: (i.e. starting on the bench, not actually "scratched")

Is it next year or the year after hat Bosh signs in New York with Lebron?

2010.

Next season he plays with the Raptors, after that he is a FA along with Wade, LeBron and Carmelo.

If the Raptors were to target Nash, guaranteed that Calderon would be moved for a more typical shooting guard.

Calderon came back and played wonderfully. Whole different team with him out there.

How about Nash in New York with D'Antoni, LeBron, Bosh, Wade......

Sorry for the slight hijack, but anybody talking about attendance in the southern US should have a look @ the Clippers/Heat game in Miami (it's on KTLA). It's in the second quarter and the lower bowl looks about 1/2 full.

Is this also an NBA thread? Anyways just saw on the news that Kobe Bryant had 61 points at MSG. Most by any player surpassing MJ with 55.

Making up for losing Bynum for three months.

Too bad, that could prevent them from winning it all.

Oh and Stephen "EVERYTHING I SAY IS IMPORTANT" Smith is reporting that Bosh will opt out in '10. Bosh and BC deny talks, and Smith won't return Coangelo's phone calls.

I never saw the last game, but it couldn't have been worse than this game. I have never seen them play so flat. And personally, I've loved Bosh as an underrated well grounded player, but after his Olympic debut, he's gotten US exposure and it's gone to his head. The guy just sulks all game when things don't go his way. While I don't believe Steven A's sources, think of the return we can get for a player like Bosh.
