Oh I bet you'll see them go for more than that. I could easily see some rich Vancouverite or Torontonian plunking down a quarter-million+ to sit on the red-line for that game.

I requested an OEP with an alternate set, and didn't get any. I also requested about 7 other events, individual, and didn't get any. All tickets were in sets of 4, which I think harmed my chances.

It was spelled out on their website that OEPs were allocated first. (I won't say clearly spelled out because the site was a nightmare to navigate)

Man I'm pissed. If I'd known how oversubscribed it was I'd have had all 4 of us put in the same requests and sell. Everything will be easy to sell.

Sorry, can't do that. I can consider flames tickets for any Olympic tickets though.....very negotiable on that. I also would consider ended up with a snowboard final at cypress bowl, I think its the event that Ross Reb won back a couple of Olympics ago.

The Vancouverites seem very up in arms about not getting all the tickets, some guy was complaining that "Toronto" got all of them. Anyway, this will be my third OG, my experience has been that tickets are very liquid and fluid for Olympics and for most events you can pic stuff up an hour before. I remember have to scroung up Tennis tickets in Sydney at the last minute, i found a seller from Calgary who had a pair. They also had ticket "mosh pits" where people were swapping tickets for everything.

Good news. I got a little bit luckier than I was expecting....Not really in the hockey department sadly. 2 tickets to two quarter final games so 50/50 chance of seeing Canada. Russia, Sweden, and the US are guaranteed to put up pretty solid teams too, so I have a good chance of seeing some quality hockey.

Nope not yet, I'm sure it'll be one of those things I'll be scrambling to find last minute.

Does anyone know if there are accommodation packages or do you just book directly with the hotels?

FYI, the second chance for those in on the first round started today. There are still tickets available to mens premininary games and the womens bronze game still has seats available.

Not going. Way to pricey for my budget. I'll watch it on my plasma hd tv in the comfort of my warm living room.

I have 4 extra seats for the Womens Bronze medal game (probably USA/Russia) that I will trade for 2 seats to either mens or womens gold or mens bronze. Will pay cash too.

Ugg... just got kicked back to the waiting room right as I was about to complete my order. Pretty sure I didn't go over my alloted time, I had just clicked on "Continue Shopping". VANOC sucks.

Same thing happened to me, just as I was about to buy tickets to Canada vs USA hockey too.

I don't know how, but apparently some people are on the in as to which game is scheduled when. If i was in the market for tickets i'd probably do more investigating. Apparently someone in Hfboards in the canucks forum shared it after the initial requests were put in. I'd post the rumour but don't want the hate if it's wrong and you end up with Switzerland vs Qualifier games instead

Figured I'd bump this, today was Phase 2 of tickets...where you can wait in the virtual waiting room and get tickets. I ended up waiting for 2+ hours in this room but ended up getting tickets for 8 events (mostly hockey quarterfinals/semi's). Some good seats still out there.

Same although haven't been able to get tickets yet. Spent 3hrs waiting, finally get in, but can't seem to find tickets even though the events say available. Also the site seems to have crashed so probably lost my place!

Yeah its messed up how they did it. Though I think the tickets still show available if someone has them in their cart but hasn't checked out.
