It'd be real damn nice. Already had sole possesion until Tottenham decided to get their first win at the worst possible time. Crap scheduling having to play Monday, then again on Saturday. Both teams are very beatable though, although every game without Torres has been a battle. Hopefully Keane, Kuyt, and Babel somewhat can pick up the slack until he returns.

Jeezus Christ! I managed to catch the second half. How many times can you miss in a row on a corner kick, is that a record? Sole possession sure, but a win would have been pretty good. Now there's still 0 margin for error unless Chelsea screws up, and the frickin Mancs aren't that far back anymore. What happened to Robbie Keane? Where did Tottenham hide him, and more importantly, what the hell did they give us? He was pissed off to get subbed off this afternoon, but he was a useless piece all game. Dossena is totally useless as well. We need Skrtel back, bad!

That was a nice comfortable win against PSV. Man have they gone down hill. Few regulars, no Gerrard, no Torres, no Kuyt, mostly a reserve team out there and despite going down 1-0 early, the 3-1 win looked fairly copmfortable.

Man, Keane just doesnt look like he fits though. He really didnt generate much today.

Due to weather, On the Rocks wasn't even open. Christ that was frustrating...thank Christ that Chelsea, the Mancs and Arsenal didn't register victories either. Also, Stevie G. is the definition of quality. He had the one bad game, and now he comes back with 2 goals. Brilliant!

Yes! Bring on Real. Cannot wait for the games...
But first I have to survive today's visit of the local soccer team of the city I grew up in to my current home town. Eastern German soccer derby - welcome to the warzone
And tomorrow Pool takes on Arsenal. Great weekend.

It was a good game to watch. I'm still SO confused as to why Adebayeor was sent off. Pretty much takes Arsenal out of the race. And playing Villa next week without Adebayeor and potentially Fabergas is pretty much the biggest game of the year.

Who is this Lukas guy? He should have gotten at least 4 cards for his reckless tackles.

We are incredibly lucky that Chelsea blew it. Even though it would have helped us out considerably I still couldnt hope that the toffees beat them.

Man U is a problem though. They are 2 wins out 2nd place with 2 games in hand.

Goddamn Mancs.

Good performance today. Great to see Keane bag a brace too. They have to put these type of teams away so it was nice to see them finally do so. The Reds should have a comfortable lead at the top by now. Too many home draws against weak sisters (Stoke, Hull, and West Ham) and an undeserved loss to Spurs. Just think they could (should?) be 10 points clear right now. Coulda, shoulda. Yeah I know.

All complaints aside. We're top of the league at Christmas time. Awesome!!!

Great showing by Keane for sure. As far as Lucas, he's this year's Voronin, as in we all cringe the second he's on the field. He's either useless or worse most days.

As far as this city crawling with Mancs, I don't believe they have an actual supporters club (Winnipeg even does, but not here that I've been able to find) whereas we do.

There were about 25-30 people there yesterday morning, and OTR will even be open for tomorrow's 5am kick-off against the magpies in Newcastle. Should be able to take them, while Chelsea faces off against Fulham, who is unbeaten since November, with a very tight defensive strategy that seems to be working very well for them. This could set the reds apart, but those Mancs are still annoying. They play on the 29th against Boro, and also should be able to beat them unfortunately.

Excellent win yesterday though, cruising over Newcastle in style. That would have been an even more embarrassing victory if Given hadn't kept them in it at the beginning. It could have been 5-0 after 20 minutes if not for some amazing goalkeeping.

Although, in fairness, that was a bad call by the linesman on the Owen offside in the first half.

No word of that young fan that was stitched up for attempted murder by the Bulgarians getting released?

Last I heard Jack Straw (British Justice Secretary) was cleared by the courts to pardon him.
