The previous year i did the same stupid thing - of course different food. Ended up in the nurses station at the Grandstand - lying flat on a bed with horrible heartburn. Guess i never learn!

I had one today based on your recommendation. The thing was pretty good, and damn big! The people running it were from Texas or something and they even served American iced tea.

You must not attend that many rodeos then. Guys get hung up every once in a while, its just a part of the (dangerous) sport and comes with the territory.

I tried looking around for some of these foods on Friday. I only saw the Pizza on the Stick.

And I wanted to try Hot Beef Sundae and the Banana one badly.

Left the grounds at midnight, didn't hear anything about this.

Perhaps that's because my stomach is about to explode...taco in a bag, deep fried oreos, chicken burger with fries, slurpee and mini doughnuts (x2).
My stomach is going to HATE me in the morning.

american iced tea is zero sugar. it's exactly what the name implies, regular tea with ice. i really like it as i find most ice teas in canada are too sweet, and i like tea but i don't like drinking hot liquid so the american iced tea is perfect

Unsweetened iced tea is my favourite cold drink. When in Calgary, I usually have to make it myself to have it.

I had the iced tea at that Indian taco joint last night. It was sweetened, but fresh brewed. So, I still enjoyed it more than pop.

Was anyone else disappointed with the grandstand show? I just found it to be exactly the same as previous years. Is it that hard to get a different comic? Haven't we had the bagpipe guy for the last 3 years and it was Jebb Fink before that?

I am still amazed by that guy with the rings though, and the display of strength. I could do without the 2 dudes doing everything in slow motion while gazing longingly into each others eyes...

We were there for the Dierks Bentley concert on Saturday night, and man, were the grounds packed! Hardly a place that wasn't just super-crowded and hot.

Great time, though. Now dealing with Stampede aftermath - realizing that I did SFA last week and have to catch up.
