Nice dogs, by the way.
Ya man, still here. Highlight of my weekend is taking the dogs for a run. They love it.

Wow, everyone has some amazing dogs!

This was my dog, I just had to put her down in January. I miss the little bugger like crazy!

This is my Boston "Terrorizer" - Ozzie. I'm amazed at how many CPers have Boston Terriers.

Thanks!! We were on a waiting list for a yellow, but the mom didnt get pregnant. My fiance actually got us the dog as a surprise for my birthday in December . That first pic is her at 7 weeks old + 10lbs. She is now nearly 5 months and weighs about 42lbs. She is going to be a big dog (~80lbs).

yeah I got mine at 8 wks she was about 10lbs as well. in january she was 5 months old and was over 50. My other lab is 90 and still thinks he's a lap dog

right now i think she is just under 60 so the growing has slowed for a bit!

This is our new Dog, Ellie. She's an almost 4 month old, half Yorkie, half Silkie Terrier. Smart as a whip, and full of p&v!

Sniff, sniff, sniff, our dog Duncan has met a tragic end. He was killed by a cougar yesterday afternoon.

My husband was checking the fence around our property, to see if any trees had come down on the fence with the big winds we have had lately. He had his quad and both dogs were with him as they normally are when he is out and about on our property.

He heard a wailing about 30 feet to his left, it stopped after a minute. He called the dogs, Maggie came and she went home when he told her to. Duncan never came. My husband took his axe but the willows were very thick and entangled at that point and he never felt safe with cougars out and about on our property.

He came home, got his gun, went out to look for Duncan. Never found a trace of him so the cougar must have lifted him and carried him off. He went out in the evening after supper and never found a trace either. Duncan never came home overnight so we are almost 100% certain he has met his demise with a cougar.

Duncan lived to retrieve and to hunt. Every night after supper, he parked himself 3 feet in front of my husband and stared and stared and stared until my husband relented and went out to play retrieve with him. What an enthusiastic dog, as my husband says "I will never have another dog as good as Duncan."

RIP Duncan.

Isn't there any chance that he's run away or just injured somewhere?

Sadly, no. Our dogs just never run off or go off our yard unless we go with them. We held out hope of course that he maybe got on the scent of something.......

but Duncan is always home for dinner.....

and last night he was not......and with the terrible wailing my husband heard, we don't have much left to hope for.

Duncan was almost nine. It is always hard to lose a pet but when it is tragic and sudden, it just seems that you never had that extra time for more memories.

Thx all for you thoughts.
