We have two feet and counting of wet, heavy snow just south of Sundre. You think I'm joking? Well, I'd take pictures but my batteries in the camera are done. And it took 2 4x4's and a tractor to pull my SUV up the hill by my house. Long story, but the tractor finally got us all out, however, we had to walk the mile home to get the tractor in this crappy weather. I had to shovel off my deck to make it in the house because the door wouldn't open. I had to shovel off the steps to my deck because it was no longer steps, just one giant slippery mess of a hill. So anyhoo, I'm not heading into town to get new batteries to take pictures so I can prove it.

I may steal them from some other appliance when the circulation returns to my burning fingers. (hooking chains up is cold on the arse too, but if I said it was on fire as well, I'd just be opening myself up to ridicule) I'm gonna have to offer proof to the bosses anyway about how I couldn't possibly get to work. So you should have the evidence sometime tomorrow.

Calgary weather continues to be the most unpredictable, in addition to being the worst year round in my opinion. Winter, Spring, Fall, Summer are absolutely brutal for my particular tastes.

Bring some decent weather for me please, Weather gods. Hot, humid and sunny preferred!

This is generally my favorite kind of weather, except on Ducati demo days.

That's the front deck. The table and the bench covered.

That's the back deck.

Unbelievable.

Pffft snow warning, I got up at 7:30am (figured I'd sleep late and avoid the traffic mess) and most of the snow on my front lawn already melted.

On the bright side, they're saying by Thursday next week it's going to be 21.

Yeah I set my alarm for 45 minutes earlier than usual, woke up, opened the curtains, chuckled and went back to bed.

I drove my motorcycle to the office today. I'm in Spruce Grove. I know folks will say yeah, but you're in Oiler country. I happen to see that as a positive. Oh, it's 9 degrees right now. It's lunch time and maybe I'll hop on the bike for a little drive.

Yeah, like I said, it was a weird one. It seemed around midnight to just kinda turn into a drizzle/light snow. The city is probably pretty happy that what happened in Sundre didnt happen here.

Horrible!

Banff is covered. So much for hitting the tennis court this weekend.

No sh*t. I remember that... ~3-4 years ago?

I think the only month I've never seen snow in Calgary is July (knock on wood).
