Oh, and some Scorpions and Supertramp but I am pretty sure they have been mentioned as well.

In other news IRON MAIDEN IN A MONTH.

Default Found It Finally

I can't believe I finally found a song I haven't heard in 20 years. In the latter stages of my high school, a rock anthem took many by storm. But the band disbanded when one of the members was killed in '84. I had always hoped that some day I could find this song on a CD somewhere.

They toured with "the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, ZZ Top and Motley Crue"

Track 5 here "Rock And Roll Party In The Streets"

Oh man, I can't wait to get to crank this up on my 3000 watt DJ system!

I've really been into "Mad Season" lately. I can't believe I just found out about them. They're a grunge supergroup from the 90's that includes Layne Staley of Alice in Chains fame, and Mike McCreedy of Pearl Jam fame. They only have one album, plus some live clips, but holy bajeezus are they awesome. Some of their best stuff is from their "Live at the Moore" show, clips are available on Youtube.

If you're a fan of grunge (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees, Pearl Jam, etc.), then DEFINITELY check these guys out.

That shows my knowledge of that era. I guess I'm thinking back to really early junior high (1995) when I was trying to find a music scene I could fit into with new friends I had to adjust to (nobody from my elementary school was at my junior high) and that's all I remember. I was in highschool 98-01. You know, I have absolutely no recollection of any popular music of that day. I really did not like any of it. When I was in highschool in 1999, I already gave up trying to listen to the music that everybody else listened to. I was back in the old music room or theatre supply rooms rummaging through the old 70s and 80s vinyls that were collecting dust.

What the heck WAS the popular music around that time? (98-01). All I recall is a bunch of my friends singing along to Backstreet and it made me sick. haha

My recollection of that time (I was in HS as well from 97-00) was that the music was mostly... bad :P. I was listening to a lot of Tool, Radiohead, Portishead, Rage Against The Machine during that time... and also listening to a lot of my favs from the late 80's / early 90's. Wasn't late 90's a lot of rap / r&b / Britney/Christina type crap?
