More accurately, the city detachment does not wish to divert resources to the rural detachment, since, well, it impacts Airdrie's ability to police its own city. IOW, the rural detachment would require more funding to grow, and you might guess where that funding would come from. Hint: it ain't Calgary.

The problem with the internet is that sarcasm is hard to detect due to the high amount of misinformation. What one person may recognize as a sarcastic comment another may see as said person being serious. Also, since I made the post nearly three months ago I have very little recollection of my mindset at the time.
