I really have no idea who a few of these people are (Dennis Kucinich?), but the list looks OK otherwise. My vote, if I was American, would probably go to Obama.
I'm really surprised that there's a bunch of support for the Republicans on this board. That's not a complaint or a judgement or anything - diversity in opinion is definitely a good thing - I'm just surprised.

I looked at everyone who posted on here and was surprised to see that at the top end, there were only a few who were sitting with their top candidate at 90% or just a bit over. I had five candidates 90% or over and the highest top candidate percent of 95% for Obama. What does that mean exactly?

If you scored in the 60-80 range, you like the candidates but strictly for their political views. If you scored 90 or higher, your attraction is based on politics and the fact you think the candidate is cute and you have strong physical urges for them. Don't shoot the messenger.

I think there were a number of questions on the quiz with not enough answers. This was one of them--Iraq was another one for me. Abortion was another. Honestly, it's a bit of a clunky tool for my money--I also felt like it made my views seem more extreme than they really are.

Exactly.
Maybe I'm not as fundamental as Rube thinks.

Well, in some ways it is. The question was about Roe vs. Wade, not about Abortion - which is a different question altogether. I think there are quite a few people who are morally against abortions, but know that keeping Roe vs. Wade in tact is still a good idea in order to prevent the alternative.

I viewed the Roe v. Wade question as giving the power to decide the stance on abortion back to the people rather than have the decision based on the constitutional interpretation and moral beliefs of 9 justices.
Which side of the issue you are on is inconsequential, IMO... I think abortion is too big and divisive of an issue to be decided by such a small group. Pro-choice people would agree is Roe v. Wade was decided 5-4 the other way. Let the states decide either through their elected officials, or preferably, a referendum.

I'm kind of the opposite. I'm pro-choice, but I think Roe vs. Wade is a bad way to do it. It's based on a pretty weak interpretation of the law in my view, and the fact that the U.S. political system left this important business in the hands of the judiciary rather than stepping up to the plate and addressing it themselves pretty much tells you what you need to know about politics in America.

I'm with you on that. I think its very easy to be pro-life when the decision does not concern you, and you haven't been raped or had contraceptives fail, or have some relevant reason for a first trimester abortion. However, I think once that first trimester is over, either by laziness or by ignorance, the window for abortion should be closed.
In other words, its a very complicated topic and can not reasonably be decided definitively by five out of nine greybeards in robes. This is an issue that requires significant legislation and significant societal imput. What is a reasonable compromise?
It should be noted that Canada has a pretty disappointing history of legislation by judiciary too. Hot button issues don't exactly attract politicians to the plate on either side of the 49th.

What exactly about him do you admire? I don't mean to be a dick, but I really don't see one quality about the man that one can look up to, and since even the most die-hard republicans amongst my friends have turned on the guy, I'm curious why you still think so.
