Dear God that was a lame effort by the Saints. The secondary is truly awful, and the offence is completely out of synch, at least the Panthers got worked and the division title is well within reach.

Of course Bengals were my 15 pointer in Pick'em
In Survivor I went with Ravens.

Not sure yet. He took a hit from behind after he let the pass go. Bodes well for my Vikings maybe.

Browns fans will forget. Till next week when its the same old browns and anderson is brought back to reality. It happens with every team. Until he consistantly wins they will call for his hear.

The leading rusher for the Lions has 14 years.
Tatum Bell, 14 yards on 9 carries with his longest 12 yards!
So take away that 12 yarder, and he has 2 yards on 8 carries.
And it is going to OT

Broncos pull it out...whew.
Another game with less than 75 yards allowed in the air. Amazing. Jordan went nuts on them though...I'd like to see them tighten up the run D.
Great run by Brandon Marshall right before the field goal.
When was the last time Janikowski made a clutch kick?

I really dont like the last second timeout move by Shanahan. Part of the game/strategy/etc... but I think that rule should be changed. Something like you have to call the time out before the holder starts the cadance.
Whatever. Good win by the Broncos, but theyre going to be in tough to be anything in the AFC with that defense and Cutler (this year).

The Patsies look extremely pissed off. Very fast touchdown drive.
Chargers are good but this could be a blowout in a hurry.

I almost felt bad for him when he nailed the first one when the Broncs called timeout. Then I remembered he's a Raider.
The Pats are rolling over the Chargers to start this game. Belichick will turn everyone's hate for him into fuel for his team to kick ass.

A little early to be making that kind of statement about Cutler and the defense.
First off, the defense has allowed a whopping 150 yards passing in 8 1/2 quarters. They need to tighten up the run, agreed, but their defense is a far, far cry from brutal.
Say what you want about Cutler, but he's managed to lead them to victory two weeks in a row and do so through adversity.
He's only going to get better...and if he doesn't have to be spectacular for them to win now, how do you think they're going to be in Week 12?

Well I wouldnt get too excited about last second game winning field goals against Buffalo and Oakland. It is early and they do have room to improve, but squeeking out wins against the AFC's worst when they have to play Indy, Pittsburgh, San Diego (2), Chicago, and even Green Bay.
Cutler has been functional so far 573 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT, 3 Sacks, 63.9% completion. I just dont think he's good enough to lead Denver anywhere this year... especially with San Diego, Pittsburgh, NE, and Indy in the AFC.
Week 12 - 7-5.

It can't help the Chargers when they go to the stadium of a team who are facing turmoil this week and run their mouths. Merriman is still dancing after every sack in this blowout. For a team what has never won anything, they're sure cocky.

I hate this term, but this is a statement game for the Patriots.
And I think San Diego lost a little too much in the offseason. They need a receiver.

I'm excited to be 2-0.
Overcoming adversity builds character and confidence.
Aside from that, they put up nearly 500 yards in Buffalo. So it wasn't like they were outplayed and got lucky. Buffalo was lucky to have a chance to win.
They've spotted each team a TD too. That won't happen every week.
I'm guessing they won't be 7-5.

I agree. The Colts proved that tight games and adversity was a beneficial thing to go through last year.
The AFC is just so tough this year. Although I might retract San Diego from that list of "elite" teams. They need a WR and Norv Turner was a terrible hire.

Agreed on both counts about SD...but they still have enough to be dangerous at the least.
Let me be the first to congratulate Brett Favre (like he reads the board) on breaking the most underrated record in the NFL. Wins by a starting QB....Favre broke John Elway's record today and the Packers are 2-0. Well done Brett!

Last year I think the Colts proved how valuable Bob Sanders was to the run defense.
These are pro-athletes, most have been through adversity and championships as they came up through the ranks. I think adversity or being there before is overrated.
