Hope this is true because from what I've heard, Securerom functions in a highly insecure way. Apparently it's installed as a root kit that hides the main secure rom folder from the OS, preventing anyone from removing it. Makes sense, cept that it will hide any directory you want, so hackers can plop in malicious code, hide it with this copy protection scheme and laugh at your anti-virus(malware) software's attempts to save your system.

The last PC Game I bought with copy protection on it trashed my system. It installed a driver that got corrupted, causing all sorts of fun stuff to happen. #1 reason why I now game on an Wii60.

This game really isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be. I rented it for the Xbox 360 and to me it just seemed like a zombie game with special powers added and a few minigames. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but in my opinion, it's more of a rental game as replay value is limited.

I just bought the game Space Force : Rogue Universe and the developers on their FAQ said: We have no copy protection. Those who want to copy it will copy it. Those who want to buy it will buy it.

I was amazed by that and gladly handed over my money. You don't even need the CD to play. It just installs straight and that's it!
